My son has been taking guitar lessons with Mir Ali for 5 years. He started when he was 4 years old. He learned not only to play the guitar, but how to use dynamics to bring each piece to life. Mir pushes his students to achieve their full potential. We are very impressed with what he has learned from Mir!
Very good teacher, takes a personnel approach. Very patient being that I'm a beginner. Only took two lessons so far but I have learned more in this short time than the 6 previous lessons I took at a music store. Can't wait to learn more!
I'm a former music major and I have performed with several bands throughout my life on guitar, harmonica, and vocals. I recently decided to take up an instrument that I studied for a very short time as a child - violin. I've had lessons for about six months now with Arielle, and will continue to study with her for some time. She is an excellent teacher, and at a very reasonable cost, especially compared to others. She teaches every single detail of what I should know about playing violin, supplied a really helpful textbook to me, and each lesson is great fun, not dull work for a beginner. I really appreciate that. If someone is expecting to have an effective and pleasing learning experience, just go ahead and work with Arielle. It is absolutely worth the time and effort.
From lesson 1, Mike is professional and helps make sense of playing the guitar. He's talented at teaching and his availability was the best I found for my crazy schedule!!
One of the most patient and professional instructors I have ever encountered. Joe makes learning easy and provides additional materials to work with solo. I would recommend joe to anyone looking to learn to play the guitar.
Nick has a very impressive musical knowledge, especially about the guitar. He is patient, nonjudgmental, easy-going, and reliable. His musical ear is incredible, to someone like me who has very little of this skill. He can tailor/adjust his content to pretty much any musical level. He can play and teach just about any guitar style or genre that you are interested in.
I am a music therapy and guitar performance student at SUNY Fredonia. I am looking to give private guitar lessons of any genre, whether it be classical, electric or jazz.
I'm a 21-year-old guitarist with 7 years of self-taught playing experience. I am looking to help anyone who wants to learn guitar, whether it be just a hobby or a dream, and to learn in a way that will work best for you.
I teach all levels, from basic to intermediate guitar. I myself write music and perform with a band based on acoustic folk rock originals. I learned the basics from my father and later went on to attend FLCC where I studied jazz guitar and sound recording. I prefer to teach beginners who want to express themselves through original music.
I teach guitar and singing lessons. I have 20 years of experience doing both, and I will work hard to make your musical endeavors become a reality. I have a very relaxed curriculum; I teach you the songs and style you want to learn.
I am laid back and patient. Lets cut to the chase and learn how to shred.
Very patient. I have a true love of music and of the guitar and know it takes time to learn.
Fewer students make the lessons more personal and results are instant. Experience with beginner, and advanced guitarists allows me to teach an individual in a way they can understand thoroughly. My lessons and teaching strategies tend to spark excitement and a sense of accomplishment that lasts a lifetime.
I'll work with beginners on developing guitar rudimentary to intermediate guitar skills such as chord shapes, blues scales, and major scales up and down the neck using songs that they would like to learn.

Most of the students I work with are successful. All it takes is a little personal attention to find where a student struggles and a way to help them succeed.
I've been experienced in playing many different styles of music from jazz to classical. Plus I feel that making learning how to play fun and it helps to motivate clients to keep learning on how to play
I have been playing guitar for about 13 years. My goal is to help others develop this skill and have fun while learning.
Learn to play in the style of Steve Vai, Yngwie Malmsteen, and other great neo-classical and metal artists. Jim Jagow, a master shredder, will teach you how to shred using major and minor scales and sweep-picking arpeggios and will offer finger exercises to build speed. In this 6-week session, you will also earn to play harmonic minor scales in the style of Malmsteen. Instruction is designed to focus your practice towards realistic goals achievable within six to eight lessons. Each lesson provides you with techniques, concepts, and licks to help you play and understand metal soloing at a manageable pace. New licks will be introduced each week to help you towards playing in real musical situations and develop an ear for the differences between players. Instruction will not focus on note reading, but it will offer practical skills which can be applied.
I am a schooled musician with four degrees -- A.S. in Music from Niagara County Community College, B.S. in Jazz Studies and B.S. in Theory/Composition from SUNY New Paltz, and an M.A. in Jazz Performance from CUNY Queens College in NYC. I teach students from ages 7 to 60. I can teach rock, blues, jazz, funk, fusion, and pop. I like to present a nice blend of academic material to my students along with cool tunes to play and fun material to jam with. Music should always be relaxed and fun while still providing a solid service to the art.
