Welcome to Yana Yoga. My name is Amber LaPointe, owner and founder of Yana Yoga. In my classes, I try to keep things light and fun, but challenging and focused. I work to help my students integrate the mind, body and breathe in a way that leaves them feeling calm, yet strong and renewed. My teaching style is a mix of different styles, but mainly Vinyasa (for people who have no clue what that means, it simply means that I often sync the breath with movement). My ten-month course of study included extensive asana instruction, yoga philosophy based around Patanjali's yoga sutras and the hatha yoga pradipika, human anatomy/physiology, meditation, Ayurveda, restorative techniques, and working with special populations, including those who are pregnant and those suffering from injuries.
