Brian and his team recently helped me in loading a u-pack trailer for my move from Albany to Los Angeles. I was happy to have him fit me in with less than a week lead time and found him communicative along the way. The day of, he was 2 hours later than our agreed upon time due to another move but I found him to be attentive and communicative as to the delays along the way. When he knew he was going to be late, he called me over 2 hours before our agreed upon time and updated me a bit later to let me know a more accurate time. My father (who has over 30 years of logistics experience) had prepped my house so it was basically loading vs. packing but even so, they moved the items coming with me from my 2 bedroom townhome into the trailer in just over an hour. Overall I would recommend him again. I found him to be a good, honest person, which is what I'd want in a mover since our homes and the items in them can be and feel so valuable!

I didn't know up front that I had to pay for travel time because I already rented a u haul truck, just needed the men to help with the packing. That was resolved, I did However pay but they did a nice job. I'll hire again but make sure I know everything so am not surprised.
I hired John Marrone to help with a small, local household move. I packed and moved most of my belongings myself and needed his help to move the furniture and heaviest boxes. He had a delay arriving, but called me well in advance and stayed in touch until he arrived. I had plenty of packing and cleaning to do in the meantime. He arrived with one helper. The loading went smoothly and quickly. He offered to load items that I had planned to put in my car, which was very helpful for me. The unloading on the other end was equally uneventful. They even set up one of the beds. I would definitely recommend John Marrone for moving. He was friendly and efficient. I chose his service because he was one of the few independent movers who could provide the truck as well as the service. I will call him next time I need to move.
Project: • Complete Bathroom remodel. Gut to studs, remove a small closet partition. Planned Additional: • Install a hot water heater and configure the natural gas plumbing as required • Install a natural gas dryer and configure the natural gas plumbing as required • Hardwired smoke / CO detectors on every floor Unplanned additional: • Structural assessment and installation of a header to carry the weight of free hanging rafters from previous owners remodel. • Upgrading the houses mainline for the plumbing system from ½ to ¾ pipe. (Hot and cold water) Small on the spot fixes FoC • Stuck door repair – fixed several doors that were binding in the house. • Helped remove the dishwasher for servicing • Helped install / repair 2nd bathroom hardware • Helped unload my truck a few times as I was moving stuff over from my apt. Bill and the crew at Freehold Enterprises are nothing short of phenomenal. They have given me a quite high end bathroom for a bargain price, while making sure all the systems and services are safe and up to code. Insured? – Yes, and he had his Insurance Agent email me over proof of insurance within 30mins of it being requested. Courteous?– without fail throughout the entire job. Ethicial and moral?- without a doubt. He is upfront and bluntly honest. He lives the Holmes on Homes motto of “Make it Right” and “Just like I’d do it in my own house.” Communication? – while I was away on vacation in Singapore, he kept me up to date on the projects progress weekly sending me multiple pictures and kept me apprised of any issues. Cleanliness / Concern for the Non work areas – Bill papered and plastic’ed what seems 3/4s of the house in order to avoid any possible scratches to the hardwood floors or dust getting places where it shouldn't be. Any minor cosmetic damage that occurred during his work he made sure were made good; such as pressure washing the back patio where he was working and touching up the trim paint damage from his tape. The project detailed ripping out the existing ½ bath and bathroom closet for the installation of a shower and full bathroom remodel. There was an additional constraint that we would be out of the country for two weeks and wanted the project done while we were gone. Bill contacted me through Thumbtack and was courteous and detailed in his phone survey of the project. He was punctual in his arrival for the on-site job survey and he impressed me with his knowledge and willingness to work with our requirements and budget. We had our written and itemized estimate in hand 3 days later. After reviewing all collected estimates we chose to go with Bill and Freehold. That evening we met at home depot and decided on a color pallet and hardware styles. During the conversation and listening to Bill describe how he planned to stretch our budget, we decided to go ahead and give Bill full design control. The end product did not let us down. We gave him key and went off on our trip. While we were gone, Bill sent us continuous updates with photos explaining what was going on. He handled and repaired several unplanned for issues in stride and kept us updated on those; the header and house leveling for the unsupported rafters and the need to upgrade the mainline for the plumbing. Along the way he handled several other minor things as they came up; some stuck doors, installation of hardwired smoke detectors and some lights, etc. Due to both the planned and unplanned extras, we ran slightly over on time and budget, and had to move in while Bill was still finishing up. He worked with us to create minimal disturbance to our lives and routines. The finished product was worth the wait. His tile design and choices were gorgeous. The bathroom is beautiful and now out classes the rest of the house. We love it. Then to top it all off, since we had gone slightly over budget he was willing to work with us on the final payment. We highly recommend Bill and Freehold for your next project and plan to continue using him ourselves for additional projects on this and other properties. Warren and his crew worked a long, hard day for us, and definitely went the extra mile. We had a lot to do, and weren't able to prep much for them. They spent 9 hours at the house packing for us before bringing a full truck to the new house. They were worried we didn't have the beds set up yet, and since they had just disassembled them, they were working hard to put it all back together, insisting over our concerns that they were all working too long a day! He quoted us a flat rate for the truck and an hourly rate for the crew - overall a very competitive price. We had both underestimated the time required, but he generously offered to stick with his quote and hourly estimate, but after the hard work they had all done I couldn't accept and gladly paid the hourly rate for all the time they all spent. Warren and his crew were gracious, independent, and hard working. I have another job coming up very soon and I plan to contract with them again.

Donna did an excellent job cleaning my home. She provided all of her own cleaning supplies which was a huge plus! She was on time and extremely professional. I plan to hire her again for my future home cleaning needs!
Ok let me start off with this was a last minute move, I have a back injury that has left me partially disabled. So basically I am of no use for lifting or moving anything heavier that a gallon of milk! After get the online quotes I called Steve and left him a voicemail, he returned my call with in an hour, while on the road working, to discuss my move need in more detail. This was on a Friday and I was need the move on Monday. He was able to accommodate my short notice without an extra fee, we agreed on a start time of 9 am. Monday morning Steve tested me letting me know they were on there way. When I arrived at the apt. Steve was already there, early, and ready to start loading! The job ended up being a lot more than I had originally anticipated but Steve and his guy assured me it was ok they would take care of everything. And that they did! They even offered to do a dump run for me but I had a friend coming to take care of it all ready. Let it rain moved a 1500 ft apt into a storage unit with some heavy large pieces of furniture and most of the "other" belongings that were not packed correctly on my end, they completed the job with smiles while take great care in packing, placing my things so that they would be safe and not scratched ect.. This was all completed with in a few hours! I would recommend anyone needing anything moved to give these guys a call, they are absolutely professional, courteous, accommodating, while smiling and friendly! The price was not only fair but I feel it was a great value for the work they provided me. I will be calling them again to move my belongings once I find my new house! And recommended them to everyone I know!

Had a simple job to pick up a old upright freezer. Company committed to picking it up the same day and they did at the agreed-upon price. Phone skills could use a bit of polishing. Otherwise service was fine.
Debreen was a magician! My mother had felt overwhelmed with her impending move -- the combination of an unexpected timeframe to move and an enormous amount of possessions collected over decades. It was so much stuff to sort and decide what to keep what not to keep. We found d.o. organize online and once we met Debreen and she took us through the process and shared her philosophy it was an incredible sense of relief! Her whole take on streamlining really helped and most importantly my mother felt she had a cheerleader for a successful moving experience. Debreen is very professional and incredibly hard working. Not only did she help sort, pack, donate and sell over the course of weeks but she stayed with my mother the day of the move so that everything was moved into the new place and unpacked in an organized way.
