FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Pricing is going rate per rehearsal lesson (not always hourly);- $120 I no longer make contracts for extended lessons beyond 9 weeks. You can book with me weekly, on a first pay, first serve basis. I do NOT accept checks;- due to bounced check fees.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Process is to have the Beginning student learn a piece or set of pieces inside of 9 or 18 weeks. If the student is unable to perform piano pieces for me, I release the student from studies with me to find a more suitable or long term instructor.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have 30yrs of training in my art. I was recognized as a young artist in Pennsylvania. BA Music from Ithaca College. Served 5 years on piano faculty at charitable conservatories. Additionally, I am mixed-race background (so to speak) -born Japanese national born in USA & USA citizenship. Some of my European mentors such as Dr. Andor Kisely, a collegue of Kodaly in Hungary, found it interesting to teach me to interpret Chopin.
