Introduction: I have over 25 years of transcription experience. My home office is fully equipped with four computers, copiers, fax machine, Dictaphone transcribers (all formats including 4-track), etc., along with my office being equipped to handle transcription from taped recordings and re-record. I also have Start-Stop Universal, Start-Stop Power Play, GearPlayer, and ByteScribe systems, etc. installed on my computer for clients requiring digital transcription. Also, I can re-record VHS tapes to DVD, allowing me to view the video while I am transcribing. For this transcription, I use Start-Stop PowerPlay. My office is also equipped with a Lanier VoiceWriter and a Dictaphone C-Phone for call-in transcription. I use a high-speed internet connection, but also maintain a separate telephone line along with a dial-up connection. I am very proficient in all versions of Word Perfect and Word, and try to always maintain the most current version of these programs. However, I still maintain earlier versions of these programs to use per client's request. With respect to Word Perfect, version 5.0 through version 15 (X5) is available. With respect to Word, Word 95 through Office 2010 is available. I am a very responsible and meticulous individual. I work very well independently and easily adapt to the various instructions of my clients.
