I adhere to a strict training protocol of TWICE A WEEK, as I find this yields the best results. I train the family as well as the dog, to ensure everyone is on the same page and being consistent. I am ALWAYS AVAILABLE to answer any questions and address any concerns you might have. I am a person with great compassion and commitment. I LOVE what I do! I like establishing a connection with the dog I'm training so trust is very important to the equation. I want your dog to always be happy to see me and not feel like he/she is being forced to do something they don't like I want to make both the dogs and owners lives easier and happier. I am SERIOUS and passionate about my work, so I expect you to be committed and all in with my training protocols. If you don't have the time, or you are not ready, willing, or able to make the commitment, I'm NOT the trainer for you! I strive to help you in every way possible, so I need you to be all in. We will work as a team, so be ready to give your best, because I ALWAYS do😊👍 While I'm serious about training, I can promise that you will also have great fun and a WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE!! Sherry is amazing! Even before she started training my dog I called her and she spent an hour giving me tips and advices on how to take care of him. She is very friendly and gives very good advices. By the third lesson my little piranha puppy stopped biting pretty much altogether. By the second week my dog learned so many commands already. Sherry even brought me home made food few times seeing that I live on pizzas xD. She is an excellent trainer, is very kind and teaches very valuable life lessons!

Sherry reached out to me about my puppy as soon as I made the request the speak to her! Before even starting training Sherry spent a whole hour of her day to speak to me over the phone to share her advice, experience, and wisdom she had that would help me with the current situation I have with my puppy. Not only was she super attentive but she showed genuine care about me, my family, and most importantly my puppy! Due to COVID we are holding off on personal training but in the time being Sherry had offered her help in so many different ways to make my life easier and to help my pup! Sherry is a gem and the amount of kindness and care she showed without question shows how great of a person and trainer she is and she certainly will not disappoint.

We have been working with Sherry for several sessions now and are making great progress with our 1 year old Cavalier King Charles. She is very knowledgable and able to answer all of our training and behavioral questions, and provide excellent input, advice, and feedback for steady improvement. We look forward to see his continued progress and enjoy welcoming her into our house. We would highly recommend her.

We are still in the training process with our pup Marshal. In the few weeks Marshal has been working with Sherry, he has developed a deep affection for her and learned some very valuable puppy manners! We have a 5 month old pit bull terrier. Sherry has been great with training us as well as our big puppy. She provides a lot of information and good tips. It’s been a very positive experience. I would definitely recommend working with Leader of The Pack.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Not complicated at all!! You pay in three installments
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
In home consultation first, with entire family present. I do extensive puppy testing that very few trainers do, or, are even aware of!! Older dogs get a similar test that is not quite as involved. However, it does give me great insight as to the dogs temperament and intelligence. During this consultation I can tell if the person is serious or not about training. If they are not, I tell them that we would not be a good fit and I cannot work with them, and I sincerely wish them good luck and success with another trainer.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am always reading up on new techniques, as well as, talking to my friend who was former head dog trainer, for NYPD K-9 UNIT. I go to extensive hands on seminars, as well as have friendships with several breeders of high standards and other trainers that I can always trade information with. Education is a very serious thing to me. I ALWAYS want to learn more techniques and different approaches from some of the best trainers in the business.
