My 96 year old mother needed a new accountant because she stopped driving and wanted to find someone willing to come to her home. I spent half a day trying to find an accountant with good reviews willing to come to her home to do her taxes and couldn't find one until David Montague responded to me through Thumbtack. He was a little hesitant at first but when I told him my dilemma, he agreed to take the job. He scheduled a time to visit with my mother on a weekend and took care of all the details and tax returns. How many business professionals are you gonna find to come to your home on a Sunday afternoon? On top of it all, David charged my mom 1/2 of what she had paid in the past to have the same work done. I couldn't be more pleased or have better things to say about David Montague. I hope he will do the same for us again next year if my mom is hopefully still with us again for another year.
Paul is very personable and is willing to do more than just your taxes. He is interested in helping his clients with any and all financial questions and concerns they may have. I typically prepare and e-file my own tax return. Sadly, my father passed away last year and I quickly found myself in over my head. My family went from a straightforward federal and state return to one that included the final return of my father, assets distributed as part of a trust, assets that fell under a will, assets that fell outside of both, several tax IDs etc. Using Thumbtack, I found several tax professionals and received quotes from three. Great job and very professional. They have an office in Norwalk, CT where you can meet and go over what you need done. The office was a little run down with difficult parking, but if you are paying for the quality of the accounting services than this will be quickly overlooked. They were always available to take my calls and very responsive to my questions. Got the work done in a timely manner.
