I've known Ed Costigan for over 30 years in a few respects. First, as the most senior black belt instructor under Arthur Cohen he has always been there, not just for me but for Mr. Cohen and the entire organization and the law enforcement departments we've supported. Ed And I live in the same town and it's not hard to see that he's a well liked and respected member of the community. We don't talk much about his accomplishments as he keeps much private being a modest man but I can say he is a lifesaver not just as a lifeguard and a high profile security agent. More recently I have had the pleasure to train with Mr. Costigan in the Russian Martial Arts and can attest to his prowess. I would endorse and support Ed Costigan in any endeavor. Thank you Eddie!

Outstanding grappling and practical application of Bruce Lee's Jeet Kun Do. I feel very confident that I can protect myself and my family if ever put to the test. I met Daryl through a mutual friend at a holiday party. Over two years of personal training later, I can confidently say it was one of my best decisions. My life is hectic and Ive never had time for the gym. Attending sessions with Daryl made me make time for myself and motivated me to have a healthier life style. While I was never over weight, I was out of shape! Daryl structures our training sessions around my personal needs. He also offers advice on meals and nutrition. Coach Shomari is very thorough. Ive already had several sessions with and love the workouts. He stresses form above all so you get the full benefit of your workout and minimize injury. Overall, Id recommend Coach Shomari for anyone looking for varied workouts which can include weight and boxing training along with cardio fitness.
I've been training with Richie on and off for the last thirteen years. Ideally I'd love to train with him five days a week. Unfortunately, work and life in general make that difficult. When I first started with Richie he would have me demonstrate how I did a certain exercise, like a dumbbell curl. He would make adjustments as needed and I would almost always have to go to a lighter weight. He would emphasize form which worked hand in hand with exploiting the muscle. The day after working out with Richie I always had that "good sore" feeling in whatever body part we worked on. He also had me write down what I ate everyday. I was already pretty meticulous with what I ate. He gave me a meal plan and I followed it to a T. Five weeks into the meal plan Richie gave me he re-checked my body fat. It dropped from18% to just under 13%. When he saw the results he stood up and hugged me. I didn't know how to react at first especially since I only knew him for a few weeks. He then explained that he was psyched because I followed the meal plan. The measurements he took didn't lie. One of the biggest reasons that I really enjoy training with Richie is that he is creative and does a great job at "muscle confusion." The work he does in preparing for an individual's training session pay off over time. He is by far the most knowledgeable person I have ever met when it comes to weight/fitness training. On days I'm not training with Richie I hear his voice in my head pushing me. That's the positive effect he'll have on you! Don L.
I had been a long distance runner for 25 years before a torn meniscus brought me to Velma. That experience changed my life. Through careful, intelligent , step-by-step instruction, Velma easilt solved the meniscus problem but more importantly for me changed my entire focus concerning physical fitness. We worked together for 5 years before her promotion and the birth of her daughter. Velma is truly an outstanding personal trainer AND individual. Anyone would be fortunate to work with her.
Ari is a great personal trainer, who believes in a well rounded workout regimen. It’s not just about lifting weights. He likes exercises that use the body’s resistance, we use bands, and we also cover certain martial arts techniques and breathing exercises. Ari has a pleasant personality and is always punctual. He has a way of being able to push you to achieve your maximum without yelling!
Sensei Matt is amazing with the kids. He knows what he’s doing and it shows. He is an amazing instructor, brilliant martial artist and a great, caring person. He is the best value around for martial arts classes in Rahway! No hidden fees or costs!! Highly recommend.
I train with Anthony twice a week in prep for the marathon and he is excellent. He provides a great workout that is creative and combines cardio and strength training. His rates are very reasonable and he gives 110%. He takes you from whatever fitness level you are starting and teaches technique and pushes you to the next level. I couldn't give a higher recommendation.
