Introduction: We are certified mathematics teachers and experienced tutors. We can tutor for all levels and ages. We have worked with elementary and middle school aged children, both on building foundational knowledge and on enrichment. We have worked with high school students on the full range of high school courses and exams. We have experience tutoring upper-level collegiate mathematics, including advanced calculus, differential equations, number theory, probability and statistics, and abstract algebra. We have also helped adult students to refresh old skills and learn new ones. Additionally, Elizabeth can provide conversation practice in French. We enjoy helping students to understand the concepts behind the math that they are learning, which allows them to apply it when learning more difficult concepts.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We talk with the student and use informal assessments to diagnose weak areas, then work with the student to shore up foundational knowledge and learn new topics.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We are both certified math teachers with a combined eight years of classroom experience and 15 years of tutoring experience. Ben also has special education certification and Elizabeth has bilingual certification.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
We both started tutoring in college and never stopped.
