I was looking for a personal trainer who could come to my home (or a nearby gym) and who could help me train despite various back/neck/knee problems. I have tried other trainers (and have had a few good experiences), but most of the time I find that trainers cannot be flexible and focus on my specific issues rather than general ones. My daughter is an active teen-ager, who also happens to use a manual wheelchair. She worked with Rick for a year and a half- her first experience working with a personal trainer rather than a physical therapist. Rick brings a unique perspective to training, informed by his background as a musician, dancer, and citizen of the world. He brought a great sense of encouragement to my daughter, with just the right mix of pushing and humor too. His work-outs were varied and interesting, and my daughter always left feeling not only stronger, but more empowered in general. Rick, is one of the better trainer I had the pleasesure of working with. He help me with my goals of flexibility, strengthing my core, arm/legs and swimming. He taught me about the importance of using rolling routine to stretch my muscles. I will continue with Rick during his new transition. I am 79 and feel like I am 65! - What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?do not be confused if you notice any texts that seem associated to my other service. I have been a professional violinist for 30 years and Personal Training was a hobby until 6 years ago. The thumbtack app intermingles my 2 services. I have spoken with the Thumtack Team and they troubleshoot, but it always seems to combine them again. After you have contacted me by phone and we have a 20 minute discussion about your fitness goals and history, I will email a few documents for you to agree to, along with materials for the first session. Than we can book your 1 1/2 hour assessment and training , which includes my recommendations and workout schedule. This session requires $50.00 prepaid either by PayPal or mail. As an incentive to keep you going, I offer a package discount: 8 sessions for $30.00 each, $240. A savings of $80! What to you get??? learn how to get the most out of your workouts a weekly program, access to a private excercise studio my counsel 24/7. *travel fee of $15 Accountability and Discipline are most important to establish a good habit! It takes an average of 3 months for any person to see progress in most endeavors. Scheduling can be flexible. My studio is sufficient and very clean, with off street parking, and easy to find in the historic district of Akron.
