I've known Richard for years. He's the only person I would allow to perform my wedding, for many reasons. I knew that he would take everything that I was thinking about and wanted into consideration. For example, I wanted a wedding that was unique, just like every bride right? Well, my grandmother was an artist and unfortunately she passed away a few years before I got married, but my way to honor her was to have a blank canvas and add two different colors of paint to it so they would essentially "mix" together. Think of it like the sand ceremony or candle ceremony. Rick immediately was sold on the idea and thought of a unique way to present it to our family and friends at he ceremony. While my husband and I poured the paint on the canvas, Rick talked about how myself and everything I bring to the relationship was represented by the color red, while for my husband it was blue, and the Nixon of the colors was everything we both brought to our future. It was just a wonderful way to explain something that I dreamed about doing for years. He was also so incredibly flexible. I mentioned that I wanted to say. Little something during the ceremony to my husband, but I was so lost in the moment and the day, I forgot to write it down. And Rick asked me to read it and I said I forgot the piece of paper and he immediately moved on. There was no hesitation, no hiccup in the ceremony and no one could tell. He was so easy to work with. Everything we wanted, he made happen, not to mention all the great ideas he brought to the table through his past experiences. I would recommended him to any bride and in fact... I do!

Steve and I were married by Rev. Ric Schumacher on June 13, 1996. We are celebrating our 19th anniversary in about a month. We loved having him perform our service. He was most accommodating about our desire to be married in our back yard and also let us write many of our own vows. Flexible, thoughtful, helpful. As it turned out, we had a big rain storm in the middle of the service. Rev. Schumacher paused the service while we waited out the rain, and then resumed with grace and charm. We felt we were truly blessed to have his loving presence. Before the marriage, Ric helped me (Linda) heal a broken heart with thoughtful counseling so that I was actually ready to love again when I met my soul mate Steve. He was instrumental in bringing this together for us on many levels. Just a lovely experience. I can't imagine having anyone else do our service.

Hello, my name is Jennifer & I had the privilege to meet Ric in the fall of 2001. I was preparing to get married & a close friend Denise recommended Ric marring us. When I met him, I knew he would be the perfect person to unite our love. He helped prepare our special day, from announcements to the candle vigil for our loved ones who had passed. He listened to our requests & when our day came on 4-20-2002 it was a beautiful ceremony. He spoke of love, commitment, honor, family & our future. He gave us great inspiration & wowed our guests. If I had to do it all over again, there is not a soul in the world I would run too besides him. I am eternally grateful for choosing such a gracious man. Love you Ric!

Rev.Schumacher was the total professional for our wedding. He had the perfect combination of personal and religious. I can't think of anything he could have done better. He customized the ceremony to all of our wishes. Wonderful with family from both sides. The best. I recommend him highly to anyone that wants an extra special ceremony

Ric is so easy to work with. He is kind, insightful, and very good at his job. The words he spoke at my wedding ceremony were beautiful and enlightening.
