What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
A new client will first be scheduled a "Meet n' Greet" which is a free in home consultation to discuss services needed, routines, and to meet their pets. We will also review documents necessary for us to provide service. All new clients are invited to create a online login to view and request services, update home and pet information, as well as communicate with us. All clients receive free pet care journals emailed to them after every visit.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Our Pet Care Specialists are PetTech™ CPR & First Aid Certified, have completed 2 weeks of in-the-field training covering handling, situational awareness, incident avoidance, and more. They also participate in continuing education courses related to the pet care industry. Some may have also attained additional certifications in the field.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Our Signature Sitting Service is our most popular service by far. This service is designed for the family/owner who is out of town for a day to several days (such as one to two weeks), on a vacation or business trip.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Do your homework. Shop around a little and understand each sitters scope of business and service. Most In-Home pet sitters absolutely love animals (they'd almost have to), but some may not fit your specific needs.
Be prepared to answer questions about the pets habits and history and to set up an "Initial Consultation" which is a meeting of you, the sitter, and the pets in your home. These are usually provided for free.
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
Many pet owners believe that the boy next door, or the girl down the street, or their neighbor/friend are good enough for their pets. Unfortunately, this isn't always true. I have read numerous accounts of a family's closest acquaintances being left to care for the family's pets only to come home to a destroyed house, lonely pets, or worse seriously ill or malnourished animals.
The best thing about Professional In-Home Pet Care is the pride we put into our work, and how much we truly care for the animals we meet.
When you decide on professional services you can have a relaxing time away or no need to stress more about your pets while you are on business or vacation.
