Introduction: Thank you for your interest in my wedding services. I am an ordained minister (not an Internet minister) and have performed hundreds of weddings and other ceremonies throughout Northeast Ohio. I personalize each service to meet your exact requests so that it reflects who you are, your relationship and your love for one another. The ceremony is non-denominational and invokes God/Higher Power as part of the service. Plus, I am happy to accommodate your specific spiritual beliefs. I will meet with you to review the entire ceremony and discuss various options like Unity ceremonies, readings and personal additions. I also direct the rehearsal and coordinate with the photographer, DJ/musicians, etc. My fees range from $250 to $450 depending on the size of the wedding party and if a rehearsal is needed. A $50 deposit, that is part of the overall cost, is required to hold your date. I also offer a 20% discount for active military persons. I am licensed in Ohio, New York and Florida. If you really want an exceptional, special ceremony for the most important day of your life and not just a quick, impersonal service then I am the minister for you. My ceremonies are extremely personal and I have been told many times that they are the most beautiful services people have ever witnessed. I would be honored to create a special and meaningful ceremony just for you. I also offer other personal, non-denominational services including: vow renewals, baby blessings and celebration of life memorials.

I found Shirley through Thumbtack after talking to referrals from friends and family. My wife and I are really glad that we found her for our wedding! This kind of event is a BIG deal and best left to a professional. She helped us tailor fit our ceremony to our style and gave us a lot of confidence. I’m so happy I got Shirley as our marriage officiant! She makes the whole ceremony amazing and wonderful. Even on a short notice she was very helpful and makes it easy for me not to worry about the ceremony itself even without rehearsal. During this crazy covid time Shirley made my cozy little wedding beyond perfect and I couldn’t ask for more. Would definitely recommend her as your wedding officiant!!! What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I always meet with my wedding couples to go over the entire ceremony to customize and personalize it to their wishes. This can be done in person, Zoom, FaceTime or phone.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I was ordained in 1998 at Fellowships of the Spirit in Lily Dale, NY. This is a three-year school with a highly intensive curriculum. Plus, I am always researching additions for new ceremonies and trends to add to my wedding service.
