- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Get as much info up front as possible so I have a plan before the first meeting. At first meeting, thoroughly evaluate dog and owner to finalize the plan. Share key pieces of my philosophy to get us working from the same viewpoint. Start basic exercisese. Recommend next steps. Schedule second lesson.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Largely self-taught, I interned with an experienced trainer who shared my basic philosophy of rewards-based training. I have devoured books/DVDs, attended seminars, and am currently a member of Behavior Education Network, which provides the most up-to-date information on training and animal behavior.
