Introduction: $450 min. per cook day (avg $22/plate). Healthful, affordable and delicious meals - prepared FRESH in YOUR home. My years of experience in offering home meal replacement as a business model is rare. My clients use my service on a regular basis, once a week to once a month. Within a short time, I had a waiting list for open cook days. I served as President of the local chapter of personal chefs and on the national board. I was a mentor and instructor. Working with individuals, couples or families bring me much satisfaction. I believe gathering around the dinner table at home is important - giving them more time to enjoy lives.

Laura Cotton has provided food service for me since January of 2014. Before Laura's Chef Services, I was at a point in my life where I was 50 and single, working full time, and taking care of ill, elderly parents and a puppy. For several years, I was eating on the run and had no time to exercise. This resulted in a significant weight gain for me and overall just not feeling well. The last thing I had energy and time for was to prepare homemade healthy meals for myself. Desperation made me look for alternatives, and fortunately I found Laura on her website and facebook and saw that her prices were very reasonable. I decided to move forward with this service and the result exceeded my expectations immensely as I had freshly prepared food made in my own kitchen by Laura. On the day of the service, I am able to smell the delicious aromas as soon as I walk into my house. The kitchen is completely clean with all the prepared meals neatly stocked in the refridgerator and freezer along with fresh flowers on my kitchen counter from Laura welcoming me home. Utilizing the personal chef service from Laura makes me feel like I am dining out every night as I enjoy this fabulously prepared fresh and healthy food. I am no longer eating leftovers for a week, every week,and I have no desire to go out to dinner because I now have such great entrees at home. Financially, I end up spending very little on groceries with this chef service. It also frees me up so I am able to take care of myself, i.e. go for a swim or walk after work and then go home to heat up a freshly prepared meal by Laura. My quality of life has improved a hundred fold with this service!!!!! Laura does not disappoint!!!!

Laura is a skilled chef with an obvious passion for what she does. Always the consummate professional (clean, safe and courteous), her service is great for anyone (especially families!) who wants to eat better but doesn't have the time to put together a fabulous meal every night. I'd definitely recommend her!

Laura is a gifted and generous chef. She cooked for my family during a time of great stress, and she delivered meals that nourished us both physically and psychically and that met my brother's extremely restrictive dietary requirements. She went out of her way to find new options for us, and her positive, sunny outlook helped all of us. I had the pleasure of cooking with her for a day -- not only did I learn a lot, but we had a lot of fun in the process, and we cooked an enormous amount of food, which kept the household going for almost a week. Laura is smart, resourceful, easy to work with, and very flexible, in addition to being a fabulous cook. I heartily recommend her for any and all cooking needs.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
For HOME MEAL REPLACEMENT, average cost per plate ranges from $14-25, depending on how many portions of each recipe I prepare (minimum 20 plates). For rare small dinner parties, prices start at $100 per plate.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Initial contact via email or phone, then a meet and greet to review menu samples and completed food questionnaire, schedule initial cook day, discuss deposit and container preferences
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Certified, United States Personal Chef Association; Serve Safe Certified. Le Cordon Bleu; L'Academie de Cuisine. I teach cooking classes and participate in national conferences as a speaker/instructor.
