AJ is the best plumber. I've used him so much, we've become friends :). Such as, worked on and installed new sump pump with battery backup, installed toilets, installation of new faucets and tub fixtures, the concrete base for new shower, water line for ice maker and other jobs. He's always available soon when needed. He's very reasonably priced, honest, and does a great job. Forget the "overpriced" plumbing companies and call AJ Alcorn! He also has done some electrical work, like breaker box repair, install new light fixtures and electrical outlets. Note to thumbtack: tried 3 times to upload photos but they failed. Thanks also to Thumbtack for this website. Kim Clark

Removed leftover concrete that home builders left in driveway. Anthony was a pleasure to deal with from the beginning to end. Superior communication, on time and priced right. Would highly recommend Homestead Remodeling and Anthony to anyone.

We were very pleased with Michael's installation of our kitchen tile backsplash and concrete repairs to the house's foundation. He made sure he was doing things the way we wanted and kept us informed of how he'd go about the repairs. He worked the whole time he was here and tried to save me money by using some of his own materials. He's an honest person and I could tell from our conversations that he's a dedicated family man. Will definitely use him again and for my elderly mother's home, too!

I hired Jeff Rementer/Remcrete Concrete to widen an existing driveway. Jeff made a bid online offering a price range depending on the amount of excavation required. A couple of days later Jeff came out to examine the job site and offer a firm bid. It was easy to work with Jeff as he stayed in contact both when arranging the site visit as well as doing the actual job. The job took 2 days total; one to excavate and a second to pour the concrete. Jeff is an extremely hard worker with high standards. He and his crew worked methodically without trying to cut corners (even though it was 110 degrees outside!) Jeff was also adaptable - some of the excavation turned out to be more difficult than it first appeared. This did not phase Jeff or cause him to alter the initial bid. When the job was finished Jeff and his crew cleaned up the work site professionally. The work itself was excellent. The driveway looks great. The cement matches nicely with the original driveway including the slope to the street. To summarize my experience; Jeff Rementer is an honest, hard working professional with high standards for quality. His price is more than fair considering his professionalism and eye for detail. Jeff is also organized and easy to work with on the scheduling side of things. Should I need additional concrete work in the future I would not hesitate to re-hire Jeff Rementer/Remcrete Concrete.

We contracted with Ian Cheadle of Cheadle Construction (937.580.9098) on December 4, 2015, and we are very glad we did. The project centered around the replacement of carpeted and tiled flooring with 3/8 inch Engineered Hardwood in a glue-down installation. This was a project that we, homeowners, had started the previous May, but after completing our great room, the project lost momentum leaving our downstairs in a half-baked configuration. We were simply not looking forward to tackling the myriad of difficult cuts required for our front entry-way, parlor, and hallway, all of which are at odd angles to the walls opposite. In late November, we decided to hire a professional. We found Ian and contacted him via email and he came to our condominium ON TIME, sized up the work and had an estimate/contract prepared for us shortly thereafter. Some prices are a set amount, while others are by square-foot or linear foot. It was all clear up-front. We removed the baseboards, carpet, carpet liner, carpet tack strips, and tile ourselves, revealing a concrete sub-floor upon which the new project would be glued. We were not, however, able to chip away the mortar that was underneath the tile. Lucky for us, Ian had a tool similar to a jack hammer that was able to do that job. The particular choice of materials and the method of installation were ours, and were not products he had worked with prior. Ian listened to our own experiences and in addition did his own research, including contacting the company. So when he began work, he was able to hit the ground running. We should mention that this was "click and lock" flooring in name only; it takes some real persuasion with a hammer to get each piece to lay flat. And the glue, although a great product, is also very messy, requiring constant cleanup. The project also involved the installation of baseboards. We chose 1x4 common board, and did the sanding, priming, and painting ourselves, leaving the cuts and installation for Ian. He caulked all the gaps, leaving a finished, professional look. There were no surprises during the installation. Ian asked all the right questions, and turned our vision into reality in less than a week. Having done this work, ourselves, the previous May, I can tell you that his constantly cheerful attitude must be a superpower of some sort. So, now, the project is complete, the place looks great and we can once again welcome our cars into the garage, just in time for winter. This is a link to a photo on google drive showing some of Ian's work: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B4P1TMU9HITkMWk4Y0dIVG0wSGM/view?usp=sharing We were delighted with how it all turned out. I hired him to pull up an old concrete slab and pour a new one for a shed we were building. He did an excellent job and even offered to pull out some tree stumps he noticed in the yard at no extra cost. I highly recommend him.

I have a driveway with some unusual elevations and a natural path for rain water to be caught by my driveway and directed to my home's foundation. As a result we in interior water intrusion and had decided to grade and re-pour the driveway to direct the water and move it away from the foundation while upgrading it aesthetically. The driveway was poured and worked specifically to manage and direct the rain water. Drains were then incorporated where the water was directed, catching the water and moving it away from the foundation safely into the back yard. A separate pour of colored concrete provided a beautiful stamped border/ front porch to contrast the fresh concrete. Even with the heavy spring rains that we received this year after completion I experienced none of the water intrusion that we had become accustomed to over the last 15 years. Our neighbors and neighborhood walkers compliment us on the driveway execution and we could not be happier. I highly recommend AKH Development!
