Introduction: If you are looking for a personal trainer who sees you as a real human being, who understands that sometimes life--stress, work, children, chronic health conditions, and fear--can present seemingly overwhelming obstacles to getting fit, then I hope ESPECIALLY to work with YOU. Like many of the wonderful people I've trained over the years, you probably want to make a change towards living in your best body, towards waking up everyday with more energy than you know what to do with, towards not feeling exhausted long before bedtime, towards not letting whatever stresses and limitations you are facing define you. You want to be fit. But, you have decided you need some help to get there. You need someone with the knowledge and skills to guide you safely and effectively in your fitness program, but also someone willing to take the time to really get to know you in order to progress YOU forward as a unique individual. You want a PERSONAL trainer. When I first started out working in a "big box" gym, I found myself in the middle of chaos: clients were constantly shuffled around pretty much anonymously, and trainers were given almost no advanced knowledge to prepare for sessions, get to know their clients, or even begin to address the oftentimes complex reasons why the person they were putting through a generic workout just wasn't making progress. Needless to say, I found the whole experience frustrating (and I'm sure my "clients" did too!). When I arrived at Evolution Fitness, a private training gym with a strong focus on the individual, I was able to attend to my clients as I had always dreamed. I found tremendous support for my belief that the best investment I can make towards getting my clients the results they want is to take the time to observe them carefully and to listen to them fully. That is how I discover their strengths, weaknesses, and limitations in order to design a truly personal fitness program. It is not my job to become my clients' best friend; however, it is absolutely my job to get to know them--and to help them get to know themselves--so that they can break past whatever is holding them back from living in their best body possible. While addressing physical issues is critical, whether it's a weak posterior chain, muscle imbalances, poor posture (or all three or something else entirely), I know that fitness is mostly built outside of the gym. So, I also focus on eating habits, sleep, stress, and daily movement patterns as an integral part of helping my clients to achieve their goals. All of this takes time. All of this takes research and meticulous dedication to program creation. Most importantly, all of this is why my clients get results. Jill is a fabulous trainer! I started with her in a group format to see how i'd like it, and quickly set up personal training sessions. She is very in tune with my goals and tailors my workouts to help me achieve them. I went in there with virtually no upper body strength, and she's flipped that around for me! I feel stronger, more confident, and can't wait to continue my progress—which I could not do without her! She is very flexible with timing for sessions, and notices quickly when I might need help or a modification. I have a some past injuries, but when working out with Jill she sets up tough sessions that show results, and they're structured so I don't have any issues form those injuries. I was never one who thought I would get a personal trainer, but i'm more than happy I did, and so glad I found Jill.

In July 2014 I started searching for a personal trainer. I needed someone who was knowledgeable, would help motivate me, easy to communicate with/a great personality, and didn’t pressure me into buying different packages or products. At the end of July I met Jill. She met every criteria of mine, and more! I worked out with Jill till March 2015. Those 7 months helped change my life in a lot of positive ways. The job I had was very physically and mentally demanding, and crazy hours. Which made me lack any form of proper diet, I seemed to always get injuries and muscle aches, and I never had the motivation to workout after. Jill first helped me get myself back in shape. She knew how far to push me and helped me stay motivated through each workout. Through the initial conditioning she taught me a lot about how to avoid injuries, and how to strengthen different muscles to help prevent injuries. After 2-3 months of conditioning, I wanted to change my diet. She gave me a new diet plan, and would help change it after every personal milestone I met. The last few months she taught me how to start building muscle, and how to be safe in the gym. It helped me gain confidence that I could avoid injury and the knowledge of how to properly workout out every major muscle group. Jill taught me so much and was always supportive. She always tried to incorporate different workouts into my routine, to show me new things to do, and it helped keep me motivated as I saw myself improve over time. I recommend her to anyone! Jill will help you achieve any goals you want to reach.

I went to a personal trainer at a large gym several years ago and had a horrible experience. Since then I've really struggled with an exercise routine. I've done videos, bought an elliptical and did an hour a day on it, ran, etc and saw little to no results. I had given up when a friend recommended Jill. I was skeptical but decided to try it out anyway. I'm so glad I did! I'm in the best shape of my life and I'm only getting better! On top of being stronger than I've ever been, I have so much more energy and I'm not dreading bathing suit season! I'm getting actual PERSONAL training and though she's very tough she never pushes me too hard. I leave the gym tired and sore but looking forward to the next time I get to go. I would go every day if I could! Oh, and she's always on time and very understanding when you need to change your schedule (or accidentally sleep in- yikes!). Not only has Jill changed my life with fitness but she's also been a really great friend. I 100% recommend her to anyone who's looking for a trainer or wants to take their health to the next level!

Jill is an excellent trainer. I have had a "desk job" for over 10 years and was experiencing back pain. She has transformed me! Her awareness of the need for core strengthing and knowledge of a multitude of exercises that can be applied at the gym and home have been extremely effective. I highly recommend Jill. She is professional and highly skilled.
