- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I am a multi licensed salon professional. I started with my managing esthetics and manicuring licenses. I enjoyed working in the spa so much, that in less than a year I was back in school for my massage license. Since then, massage has taken over. It is very rewarding work that I enjoy very much.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Always check for a license number. Many, many people practice massage without a license because they think it is easy. A lot more goes into a massage than people realize, and without proper training they could end up really hurting you.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
Massage is for more than just pain relief and pampering. People see it more as a luxury rather than a necessity. Massage is beneficial in so many ways that list is almost never ending. Some of the more uncommon benefits of massage include: - Improved skin appearance, -Enhanced immunity, -Increase in energy, and -Lower medication dependency.
