FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is pretty standard compared to most other fitness coaches. I charge $45 an hour but give discounts based upon how many sessions you sign up for. 3+ sessions per week, 10% off 4+ sessions per week, 15% off 5+ sessions per week, 20% off
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First off, I like to get to know what your fitness, nutritional, and personal life goals. I also think it's important for clients to track their weight, body fat percentage, BMI, and measurements before beginning. I also encourage clients to NOT be obsessed about what the scale says or where their body fat percentage is. When it comes to fitness, this is not a motivating factor. A motivating factor is how a client feels after they workout or have a great lifting session. Another great motivator is taking progress pictures to track your progress. This has always been a motivating factor for me as I feel different from week to week and month and month. I also do not weigh myself frequently because I am more about how I feel mentally about myself and my progress. For the first few weeks, I talk a lot of with clients about NUTRITION and I teach them how to track their macros! I set you up on a specific calorie intake with macro ranges tailored to your goals. Then I teach you how to just eat right and fill your body up with good nutritious food! A big part of my coaching process is also improving my client’s relationship with food. FOOD is MORAL: if you eat something bad, you feel bad about yourself; if you eat something good, you feel good about yourself. Obviously, we are going to ALL make mistakes in our journey but I teach how to hold yourself accountable in those difficult moments to not overeat but to also, let yourself eat what you crave in MODERATION.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have worked in public education since 2009. I graduated from Miami University in 2009 with a Bachelor's Degree in Education and have a Master’s Degree in Public Education from the Ohio State University. I have worked with all ages from PK-12 to adults. My background is mainly in Art Education but I am very versatile to working with people of all ages, body types, physical/mental disabilities, and/or learning styles. I think the most important thing you need to do as a trainer is to get to know your client personally and get to know what their personal fitness and life goals are before you even begin training. Once I get to know my clients on that level, I work with them through one-on-one training or online to motivate them daily. Since I have a teaching background, I think it's extremely important to create a sort of fitness portfolio for your clients so that they remember where they started and how far they have come. This type of encouragement and motivation keeps my clients going to strive to keep on making necessary changes in their fitness and personal life to better themselves physically and mentally. I am also a Certified CPT and Nutrition Coach through NASM. I look forward to further educating myself with more certifications in the future to help progress my clients more!
