Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: One advantage I bring is that, being in my late 20s, I am old enough to have over 2 decades of experience while still being young enough at heart to relate to kids. Seeing the sparkle in the eye of a child when they play their first song (in the very first lesson!)

We are very pleased with Jenny's creativity and professionalism. She was able to teach my son "Everything is Awesome" from the Lego Movie, which makes the piano extremely appealing and relevant to him. She uses multimedia resources to teach, including videos and short recordings, so the kids have models to follow when they are practicing. Her professional approach means she is always on time, and at the end of the lesson she provides a customized written strengths and opportunities assessment. The kids look forward to their lessons!

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Don't waste your hard-earned money--get an affordable start to your child's music education while we take the time to discover if the instrument is a good fit: It's pretty simple--$10 for a 30 min lesson or $15 for 60 mins a week!* You can typically expect $20-30 a lesson elsewhere. The reason my rates are low is because the basics are basic and I'm opposed to overcharging for what comes easily for someone with my level of experience--getting a child familiarized with the keyboard. I'm employed full-time with a well-paying job, and I'm doing this as a labor of love. A little extra income is helpful, but at the end of the day it's about passing on a love of music. *negligible cost of gas money for coming to your home if it's beyond 5 miles may be applicable

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

I have always wanted to give lessons, throughout my decades of playing piano. I finally have the life circumstances in place to have the free time to devote to lesson planning and teaching.
