When I began to get into the material, there were new and clever methods of memorizing techniques and theory that I had never seen nor heard of in all my years of taking lessons. The memorization techniques are clever and easy to remember. I think anyone can learn to play a piano with Miami Valley Music Instructions, even though they may have never played a note in their life.
My son takes piano lessons with Daniel, and he thoroughly enjoys them. Daniel is attentive and approachable. Any questions that I have had about the lessons or my son's progress, he has been happy to address and provide insight and advice to help us get the most out of the process. He is flexible and willing to work with us when something comes up to interrupt our schedules.
I also trust Daniel's integrity and I appreciate that my son has a wonderful male role-model that is speaking positively into his life.
I wanted to step out on a limb and try a singing lesson to even see if it was possible for me to match pitch! I went my entire life thinking I was a terrible singer and just not possible for me. The first lesson with Danielle started a little shaky, but by the time we were 20 minutes into the lesson I all of a sudden started to match pitch. She was so wonderful about teaching the importance of breathing and getting a proper breath, that within 20 minutes I went from "oh boy" to "ok maybe we can work with this"!
I just finished my 4th lesson and I can pretty much match pitch almost at first try every time and she said I can even begin working on a song next lesson. I honestly can't even believe how I sound when I sing now. I obviously have a lot of work to do still, but she has helped me think tha now the impossible is possible! I couldn't be more pleased!
I have such an amazing experience with Sarah each and every week. I took a few years off from theatre/singing and was a bit nervous to come back into that world. Studying with Sarah has made it a breeze. I have made huge improvements in regaining my technique and strengthening my vocal quality. Sarah is so eager to help and advise and she explains everything so well. I am achieving things I never thought I would. Insecurities are subsiding with each lesson. I have so much fun experimenting with my voice and learning what I am capable of. Sarah is an excellent teacher; she is so passionate and enthusiastic about her students, you can really tell she cares. I am so happy with the direction in which I'm heading, and I have Sarah to thank for that. The music is back in my life and I could not feel better about my decision to study here. Singing with Sarah is the best part of my Monday. Thank you for all that you do!!!
Hayley was my first ever voice teacher - she was phenomenal! I was so nervous to take lessons, or to sing in front of anyone, and I truly feel like the time I spent working with her made me a better singer. I definitely recommend her!
Talia was my first voice teacher! I was very new to singing in general and she made me feel very comfortable and really took time to work with me. I studied with her for a little over a year and during that time I learned more about singing that I ever thought was possible! She had several different ways of explaining concepts which was great since I was new to singing! She took time out of her weekend to go to operas with me and some other students. She is one of the main people that sparked my interest in singing and I am currently pursuing a Masters degree in Music and I have a bachelors degree in music as well. She is an excellent teacher and I highly recommend her!
Bryan engaged our son from the very first lesson, and focused on his interests. Bryan challenges and encourages him every lesson, and after only a couple months he is loving playing real songs. Highly recommend Bryan!
I've been taking voice lessons with Allison for 4 months. Allison is knowledgable and professional. The lessons are enjoyable and I'm seeing improvement in my singing. I appreciate her willingness to let me choose some of the songs I'm learning and the flexibility to work around my schedule. I'm an older adult who has wanted to take voice lessons for a long time. I'm glad I finally started and that I found the Sharp School of Music.
