Introduction: Club Z! In-Home Tutoring is the largest in-home tutoring service in the United States. We are an academic solutions provider offering a customized learning program for each and every student. Our tutors are thoroughly screened and background checked prior to hiring. My doughter needed help with Geometry her Sophmore year. She was failing the class. Part of the problem was that she has ADHD. We had signed up with ClubZ after an interview with Carol. She was very professional and attentive, trying to do everything possible to get my doughter help she needed. Our first tutor did not work out due to her busy schedule. Carol has managed to find another one very quickly, she tried to find a tutor that would be compatible with the needs of my doughter. My doughter loved that tutor, her name is Kate, she did great job when working with Vlada and only in 1 hr lesson a week , my doughter was able to raise her grade to 97 % in 4th quarter. I had not considered tutoring for my (junior) son at all, even not for ACT or SAT testing, because he has always, consistently, brought home good grades. It was not until I realized that he could stand out quite a bit more in the college application process but that we needed some help in bringing out his full potential. Carol Rosenau at Club Z! connected us with two tutors that were a great match for my son and helped him to not only review material and knowledge, but that knew exactly how to get them ready for the ACT. "How' to take the test is key! Timing is everything and getting trained in this was exactly what my son needed and as a result, his ACT went up by a nice few points! Club Z has been a fantastic experience for my son. The personal attention he received during his one to one tutoring for calculus greatly improved both his confidence and his grades. My daughter's tutor was just the best! She was failing her college chemistry class before his help and after a few sessions, she passed the final and passed the course. The pricing varies by the level of subject.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We start the process with a phone call to answer questions and learn more about the student. We then set-up a free in-home consultation. During that visit an Educational Consultant meets the student and understands their areas of concern as well as academic strengths. Tutoring goals are set during this meeting. Next a tutor is matched based on the tutor's strengths, the student's learning style, personality and schedule. All tutor matches are guaranteed.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I earned a Masters Degree in Education from Teachers College, Columbia University. I currently hold a 5 Year Teacher License. All our tutors have been background checked and are experts in their fields.
