Our son Connor had taken the Feb 2018 ACT after attending a 4 week (one day per week) general ACT prep course. He scored a 24 composite on the first attempt. I knew with the proper care and guidance that he was capable of performing at a higher level so I did some online research and found Professor Z of Westside Tutoring & Testing Services based on proximity to our location and search results. I decided to read through some of the sites testimonials and lo and behold there is a photo of Professor Z with his most recent ACT tutoring class including one of the students who is a long time family friend. Interestingly enough her parents and I had several conversations about this amazing person that their daughter was getting ACT testing help from. At the time I never really looked into it as Connor graduates the year after. Anyway, there she was in the photo proudly displayed on WTTS Outstanding students of 2016-17. I immediately texted our friends to hear more about Prof Z and their experience. After hearing all of the great things they had to say coupled with the very positive testimonials on the website, it was a no brainer to schedule a visit with Jack (Prof Z). We had our first visit and discussion with Jack in early April, 2018 as we wanted Connor to take the June ACT and then also the test in July depending on the June results. The visit was at Jacks home in his office - where all the ACT prep magic happens Prof Z was very pleasant and covered the entire process with us. He answered all of our questions and we walked away from the meeting feeling very sure that Connor was in good hands with his ACT prep. Jack took over from there and I have to say that he has found his true niche in life. Jack kept this process very organized considering the numerous students he has and their constantly changing and demanding schedules. The communication and organization requirements alone are a full time job. Jack handled it seamlessly. He always made Connor (and us) feel like he was his top priority and made every effort to schedule Connor around his other activities (2 sports, work, school etc..) while juggling the same for 10-12 other students! Amazing ! OK so onto the good stuff!...Connor tested on the ACT 3 times with results as follows: Test # English Math Reading Science Composite Feb-18 24 24 22 24 24 Jun-18 23 23 26 29 25 Jul-18 32 24 30 27 28 Superscore 32 24 30 29 29 The Feb test was prior to Prof Z instruction. June test prep focused on Reading and Science, knowing we were also taking the July test. We cant say enough praise about Prof Z – we are extremely pleased with our sons results. We are thankful for Jacks hard work and commitment to helping Connor and all the other kids that he supports. Jack executes well and his results are far above expectations. Connor is extremely excited and we are very proud and happy for him. Connor says he may make one last attempt at the ACT to see if he can raise the Math score and possibly go above a 30, but we’ll see. Jack tells Connor he can do it and tells him he is capable of great things! Just one of Jacks great qualities! Encouragement=great results WOW ..Reading and english 8 pts increase each, science 3-5 pts increase. Thank you Jack! - Maya and Jeff Walsh, Avon, Ohio Note: The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree..Jacks Daughter Kayleigh helps her Dad with the business side and is extremely helpful, pleasant and professional, just like her father. What a great team they make and a pleasure to work with!
Ms Kelly is amazing, she connects with the person she is tutoring in a friendly level. She loves what she does and my son loves her too. He feels comfortable with her. She explores the likes of her students and the tutoring lessons revolve around the needs and the likes. I absolutely love her and will recommend her to everyone!
I would like to start off by saying, I was very nervous about hiring a tutor for my first grader! I wasn't sure about the dynamics of my daughter with someone she didn't know in our home working on "school stuff" that was already a topic of anxiety. But all that went out the window when we met Matt! My husband and I sat at the table with Matt and my daughter and presented her strengths and weaknesses. Matt jumped RIGHT IN and picked up on exactly what she needed help with within minutes. He kept it fun and exciting for her, even when she started to get tired. He used a calm voice and steady lessons to keep her engaged and LEARNING. Matt came right down to a first graders level and used simple words and instruction. After only two hours and the end of our session, she was mocking Matt's instruction and repeating numbers and sequences to her dad and I with confidence! Matt continued to encourage her through out the lesson and kept thing light and humorous. Evee was laughing and smiling with him from the first moment. My daughter is quite shy around strangers and by the time Matt left, out daughter not only shook his hand, but gave him a giant hug and asked me when he was coming back again. Matt is an amazing tutor and I would very HIGHLY recommend him to any parent looking for the extra help. He was energetic and made learning fun for my daughter. After only two hours, she had A LOT more confidence about Math and numbers and coins. Without any hesitation, I would tell any parent to not be nervous about hiring a tutor, and to feel assured and relaxed to hire Matt. There is not a single thing I would critique about his lesson or his ability to work with a 7 year old. He got right down to work and didn't waste a single moment of time. His lessons were full and easy-going and targeted our specific area of need. My husband and I absolutely loved working with Matt, he was an absolute pleasure. I would highly recommend him to any one! Thank you Matt and WyzAnt for putting our fears at ease and helping my daughter get up to par! Confidence in school work for my daughter is PRICELESS to me and I have Matt and WyzAnt to thank for taking a lot of the fear and panic out of getting there ourselves. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

I personally have had zero instrumental music lessons from Scott; however, my brother has and I have had many vocal lessons. The price is at a good rate and the quality of his teaching is above and beyond the standard music teacher. He is very clear in his speaking and very easy going if something needs to be rescheduled.
I can't thank you enough for helping me with my resume and cover letter! I have shown it to several people one being an English major and all were blown away. You took my experiences and details from our conversation and developed something beautiful and powerful..
Laura is the absolute best - she contacted me within hours of submitting the initial request, was incredibly personable, and very flexible on when we could meet. Her lessons are interactive and meant to simulate real life situations such as going to the market, and map navigation - not at all 'class-roomy', while still covering the important basics and phrases, as well as grammar. She tailors the lesson and the materials to me to meet what I want to learn, and the level. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for personal French lessons, at any age!
Olivia was my tutor to help with my analytical writing portion of my GRE. We would go over sample prompts for both the argument task and the issue task. After I wrote my essays Olivia would read over them, leave comments, fix grammar, and write a paragraph at the end with my final score and reasoning for why I recieved that score. This was really helpful for me because I found it very hard to grade my own essays based on the GRE books and sample responses for each score one can receive. Olivia did all of that for me, and then that also made it easier for me to go back to my books and refer to what a score 4 is compared to a score 5 based on what Olivia pointed out to me and what the books reiterated. Her constructive criticism and talented writing skills really helped me improve my writing skills, scores, and confidence for test day.

I stand out as a guitar teacher because I have a music theory and classical background that helps students better understand what they are playing and opens them up to different ways of playing than just strumming chords. I adjust my lesson plans to each student to suit their interests and abilities. If a student has a question I will go to any lengths to find their answer. I love helping a student get that sound and seeing them accomplish something they thought they couldn't. I love that as a musician you can always get better, and I love growing as a musician myself, because that makes me a better teacher.
