Alex is a very talented musician. I have taken guitar lessons with him and have learned alot. He is very flexible with how the class is structured. He will help you with what you’d like to learn. Very friendly. I enjoy the lessons so much.Aug 30, 2018
I've been taking guitar lessons from Alex for 5 or 6 years. He's extremely knowledgeable about a large variety of guitar techniques and the music theory that underlies the songs that we play. He's also very good at selecting appropriately challenging songs to learn. When something comes up and I have to change my time slot for a given week, he's flexible enough to accommodate me. We've done both jazz pieces and classical guitar pieces, and I'd recommend him if your interest lies in either of those.Sep 4, 2018
I've been working with Alex since March of 2018 and have nothing but great things to say about his lessons. Very professional, experienced and straight forward approach. You will learn guitar the right way and at your pace.Sep 8, 2018

I learned so much about music and composition in the 3 short years I was taught by Alex. He is a wonderful guitar and piano instructor that guides you, but also knows when to let go and have you push yourself. Thank you.Aug 24, 2018
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? In addition to the travel time and lesson, my usual fee covers the cost of educational materials and books. Since the lessons are weekly, sometimes there will be five lessons in a month instead of four; this does not change the monthly rate and there is no extra charge for the extra lesson.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? Before I even meet a new student, I make sure to talk to them or their parents and find out what their musical experience is. I try to find out whether this is their first time playing music, if they've taken music classes at school or if they've taken lessons on other instruments. I also try to make sure they have a working musical instrument and will have what they need for lessons. If they do not, I give them my recommendations on what would be best for them. The first lesson usually covers the basics of how to play the instrument and how it works. I also will teach them simple songs that they will be able to play after one lesson.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I hold a BA in Music Composition from the University of Akron and an MM in Music Composition from Cleveland State University.
