Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: Let me start by saying there are some outstanding interior designers in the Columbus area. I would recommend my client to find someone that feels right for you. With all relationships whether it be a personal or friendship there has to be a connection and understanding from the very beginning. With that being said here are some highlights of what I do. Many interior furnishing projects, remodeling and custom home projects are done everyday without interior designers as part of the team. Projects can simply be done without our expertise. We find that not every project in the area warrants our resources and expertise and that is okay with us. Simply put, we work with clients that want to reach out of the ordinary they see in so many homes and stores in the marketplace. We are a great resource for building or furnishing something unique and memorable that is an expression and place that gives them joy. Uniquely You We listen to the essence of you, and open our global marketplace of styles, surfaces, lines, textures, finishes, lighting and textiles not available in the local marketplace. From where you sit, you probably can’t fathom the resources that are out there waiting for you with an interior designer that has cultivated a vast library of resources. Our Expertise We excel at getting to know our clients and helping them achieve something extraordinary they couldn't quite achieve on their own. We move a project from good to great, many times spending the same investment dollars. We feel it's extremely important to put the budgeted monies into categories from important to least important. Example: if you were refurnishing a living room, we feel most of the budget should go into the pieces that are being used (deserve quality) the most, a sofa, chair, ottoman etc. Next would be the pieces that are less used but still used on a daily basis; end tables, cocktail tables etc. The last portion of the budget (least important) would be the lamps and accessories. Although they are VERY important when taking the space " to the next level " or known as " the jewelry of a night out ", they are not used as heavily as other pieces in the space. Longevity of a piece does not necessarily come with a price or quality, We feel its based on how much that particular piece is going to be used. Bottom line, every budget needs managed so it gives you the client exactly what you want; the look, the quality and the longevity. We are experts at creating not just great spaces, but delighted clients. Organizational Flow Our experience has allowed us to fine tune an organized step by step process in helping clients navigate the design process. We take care of the schedule and details and we invite you to have fun. We start with a design concept, refine it with you, work together to finalize decisions, and then move into the specification and documentation phase. Our Technology We embrace technology because it allows us to be efficient, productive and reduce errors. We also use it to save your interior design costs. Early in the process, we use a site like Houzz with our clients to understand your vision. We also use our iPad at your home and showrooms having your personal selections and specifications at our fingertips, cutting back not only on wasted paper, but the time it takes to locate loose paperwork. We are able to send, save and update drawings like elevations and floor plans online. We use tools that store on the cloud allowing us to access information at our clients homes, at showrooms and wherever our projects take us. For many clients, we also use digital design boards to communicate the vision and cohesiveness of a palette – and how each component works with the rest of the space. This isn't to say we aren't fans of beautiful design boards, we still use design presentation boards when they make sense for a project. But in many cases we find clients don’t want to invest in having a design team gluing surfaces, floor plans and textiles on a presentation board. We can do it quickly and efficiently electronically, and changes or additions can be done immediately. The Next Generation of Tools We use a slick, scalable, efficient interior design specific software tool called Studio Webware that is an integrated specification, ordering, accounting and contact management system. The cloud based system offers detailed proposals for our clients that detail out specifications, pricing and even images attached so you can visually see what you are ordering. Communication and orders are sent through the same enterprise system to the fabricator and manufacturers. This ensures checks and balances. The system saves time needing to re-enter information, and reduces errors from omitting or to transposing information. We also allow our clients real time information if they want it about ship dates, shipments and arrivals. The Experts We know the very best contractors, workrooms and artisans in the area. We know how to speak their language and we enjoy collaborating with them to create something special for you. Access We know the best design showrooms and the best field experts in the area. Some showrooms are hidden to consumers and available only to the trade. We share these hidden gems with you opening you up to possibilities and options you may not have known existed. Documentation We work with our contractors in a respectful partnership that ensures a better client project. We present detailed order confirmations, design documentation, elevations and construction documents so the design you approve gets delivered. We have Fun too Don’t you hate it when someone is good at their craft and it goes to their head and they are hard to work with? We do too. You will find us focused and contentious, but never stuffy. Fun and outgoing, but never relaxed about details and service. Ditto for the teams that surround us. We all love what we do and it makes all the difference. I like the contact with people — the clients, the contractors and the product people. Generally an interior designer is improving the environment and the conditions, whether it’s a design consultation, a full remodel or a room full of furnishings. And installation is fun; I’m a hands-on person. The hands-on aspect is probably the most truly rewarding part of the job, putting it all together, hanging pictures, adding accessories and placement of lamps.
