Excellent experience... they took down several rooms of wallpaper faster than expected, and then we hired them to come back and paint the high ceiling-ed rooms the next week. Took great care to ensure the walls were well prepped for paint and the paint job is beautiful!

Joe has an eye for the latest trends and gives tips on colors, decor, etc. to maximize updates on a property. He is helpful, approachable and answers questions. He is meticulous in his craft and has many skills to offer his clients. Joe worked on my property in Westerville and I am hiring him again for future upgrades to my home. He is hard working, gives a fair estimate, is honest and trustworthy. Joe did plumbing, put in a replacement fence, rebuilt and painted my deck and did interior painting. I appreciate all Joe's hard work. There was a minor repair needed later with the fence but due to Joe's work ethic and guarantee he came out to fix the issue free of charge. A sure sign of a solid worker and small businessman/owner who stands behind his work and knows the meaning of customer service. All tasks were done in a reasonable time frame as quoted. Joe has also done multiple jobs at my mother's residence with more jobs to come. I highly recommend Joe!

ROBERT did a fantastic job painting rooms that were really messed up. He is very personable and nice. I felt like we had been friends forever. But most important, he pays attention to details. In fact, I thought he had forgot to paint one of the walls in one of the rooms. Turns out, the lighting was bad. He had painted it originally and it was perfect! He is committed to customer satisfaction more so than other painters I have used in the past. My only concern is that he works a lot of hours to meet his commitments. I hope he doesn't work himself to death as I will definitely use him again!

Larry did an indoor paint job over wallpaper, which presented some challenges which he discussed with me as he progressed. Always early, open to discussion, eager to please. Very professional work ethics, clean and tidy, thorough.

Vicki and Ralph were great! They came and painted the exterior of the house and covered everything up and put things back when they were done. They even touched up some places that I had missed when I painted some of it. Already have contacted Vicki for the next job!

I received a quote for exterior painting of my steel sided home, which included power washing. The estimate was very reasonable. They also removed the gutters & downspouts to paint them and recaulked all the windows. Charles and his crew were not only timely, but started and completed the job way ahead of schedule. They moved everything that needed to be moved, though I had moved what I could. They also cleaned up after themselves. I am so happy with the paint job of my house! Highly recommend them!

We recently had Creative Home Remedies, LLC complete a paint project in our home that involved 20 ft ceilings. They exceeded our expectations with the care they took of our home, the professional paint job that was completed and their punctuality. One of the many reasons we chose them was the quick response time when calling about the estimate. I didn't expect a return call until the end of the day and was very surprised when my call was returned during their lunch break on another job. All of my questions were answered and they worked with me every step of the way. I can't say enough about these guys and would highly recommend them.

Jason was great to deal with and Angelo came out to my condo to paint a very tall stairwell and did a great job! He needed more paint and went out and got it without trouble and stayed late to get the job done! Will definitely hire again for any other paint jobs needed!

Multi-phased two story project involving demo/repair/replace/paint. Replaced deteriorated siding; rebuilt main entry/porch/cupola; replaced planking as necessary on large deck area; add trim to house/deck juncture. Paint everything (2 tones) including: 2 outbuildings; lattice deck skirting; 2 frontage fence sections; sand and paint new steel vehicle gate to match. Paul, Doug and Bill were friendly and accomodating and worked diligently and as quickly as weather allowed. (Summer 2018 is one for the books for rain and heat.) They sweltered through the heat; but couldn't do anything about painting in the rain. Paid final invoice on final day with promise to return if necessary for satisfaction. Sure enough as we began replacing deck/entry decorations over the next few days we found a couple of small "misses". Txtd Paul with photos and he was here THE NEXT MORNING to complete. Value? See above. Cost? Very reasonable, considering the various skills and equipment and materials needed. Would we hire again...yes.

I’m not one to normally write reviews, but after the experience we had with Paint & Rollers I really felt compelled to share the experience we had. After 26 years in our house, we decided it was time to renovate the majority of our main level (kitchen, dinette, bathroom, family room, office, entranceway/hallway and stairs. We settled on a general contractor for the majority of the work, but really wanted to find another option for the painting portion – which also included removing some wallpaper from the kitchen/dinette and bathroom. We interviewed a few painters, got some very good price offers and then decided to hire Ameer and Adam Guzman of Paint & Rollers. They were not the lowest price – but they weren’t that far off. But the reason we chose them was not only the reasonableness of the offer, but their attitude toward us as their client – and that we were as important to them as the job. And our project was not going to be the easiest task for any company to schedule. Essentially it was going to require three main stages – a) the initial wall paper removal before the renovation work started. The main painting mid-project and then the final touch-ups after the main renovation work was near total completion. That span approximately 2 ½ months – yet, Paint and Rollers were totally committed to working with our needs – with no affect or change to the proposed contracted price. Then the project started and as good as they were in putting together an offer that was designed to work with us, their work was even better. The wallpaper removal and priming and ceiling stage went flawlessly (and believe me, the wallpaper was pretty firmly entrenched). But Ameer and Adam led their crew through the work and it was completed right on schedule. Wallpaper was removed, walls were prepped for the next stages and the contractor was able to proceed on the renovation without delay. Ameer and Adam worked well with the renovation crew – in fact the General Contractor was impressed enough to begin using their services for future project they would have. Topping off the project, the quality of work done by Paint & Rollers was excellent. Their attention to detail has given us a house that looks like a showroom. They made sure everything was perfect. Too bad there isn’t anything past 5 stars, because they deserve a 6 or even a 10 for the work they did. Need a paint job, check them out, you won’t be sorry, in fact you’ll be more than pleased.

We hired Your Painted Space to paint our boys' bedrooms. Both boys wanted a band of stripes that went around the top and bottom of their rooms. They turned out wonderfully!! Becki met with us beforehand to discuss what we were looking for and to help us select colors, which was a HUGE help. She was very conscientious of our budget and suggested varying designs to keep us within that budget. Becki is talented, professional and she was a pleasure to work with. I cant say enough about Your Painted Space. I HIGHLY recommend them.

I used Tim to paint my living room and a small bathroom. Tim was very careful around all my trim and the lines were very crisp. Tim also fixed a leak in my bathroom faucet without charging extra. I definitely recommend Tim for any painting or repair work.

I was referred to Mullins Fine Line Painting by someone in a neighborhood Facebook group. I had my condo (walls, ceilings, doors and trim) painted. I couldn’t be happier with the results. Jeremy came out quick for my free estimate. He got me worked into his schedule fast and kept in touch with me throughout the process. He was always on time or early. There was not a drop of paint anywhere where there shouldn’t have been. They even vacuumed!! They take pride in their work and it really shows. I can’t say enough good things about them.

    Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

How much does it cost to paint the interior of a house?

Interior house painting costs are calculated on a few key factors. Nationally, interior house painting projects range from $200 to $2,500. The wide price range indicates how much square footage, paint selection and labor can affect cost. One pro uses a laser to measure each room, subtracting the size of the doors and windows, and then bases the quote on the square footage of the actual surfaces to be painted. Painters may provide you with savings if you opt to paint your entire home rather than just having one room or an accent wall painted. For example, the average house painting cost for an 8x12 room with 8-foot ceilings is roughly $200, when contractor-grade paint is used. Painting ceilings, baseboards and frames can also affect cost. Pros may charge per linear foot to smooth and paint baseboards. In one area pros might charge 50 cents per linear foot to paint baseboards, while pros in another part of the country could charge $1.50 per linear foot for the same task. Painters may charge flat rates for painting door and window frames, with one charging $20-$25 and another $60 per door. Geography and regional costs to do business play a major role in the cost of interior painting. The same painter in a rural region has less to pay in taxes, transportation, insurance and overhead than they would in a major city like New York.

    How much do painters cost?

The national average cost for an interior painter ranges between $450 and $900. Interior painters can tackle everything from complete color makeovers in each of your rooms to touching up an accent wall to painting pieces of furniture. The square footage and complexity of the project, along with the materials needed, are the main factors that will affect cost. Other factors include whether you supply the paint yourself or want the painter to do so, whether you move the furniture and do the prep work or ask them to do it, and whether any repair work is needed on the walls. Painting the ceiling and the trim will also have an effect on cost. The type of paint you choose can also raise or lower your house painting cost. A gallon of paint may range from $20 to over $100, depending on quality and brand. Ask your painter if they charge per hour or per square foot, and how much you can save by doing prep work (moving furniture, etc.) yourself.

How much does a painter charge per room?

The cost to paint a room will vary based on the size of the room, the type of paint you select, any ceiling or trim work needed, and any repairs needed. If no repairs or other additional work is needed, painting a room with contractor-grade paint could range from $1 to $2 per square foot, including materials. Selecting a luxury paint (some cost more than $100 per gallon) will certainly increase your house painting costs. Here are some additional examples of average house painting costs, per room:

    • 12x12 room with a 9-foot ceiling: about $125
    • 12x12 room with an 8-foot ceiling: about $100
    • 14x16 master bedroom with a 9-foot ceiling: about $150
    • 14x16 master bedroom with an 8-foot ceiling: about $125
    • 16x16 living room with a 9-foot ceiling: about $175
    • 16x16 living room with a 20-foot ceiling: starting at $225
