I found Chef Brittney during my search for a personal chef for a small, intimate wedding weekend for my good friends. She provided 3 meals over 3 days including a rehearsal dinner on Friday evening, a wedding dinner on Saturday evening, and a farewell brunch on Sunday morning. Chef Brittney executed all 3 perfectly: the brides and the entire wedding party were extremely pleased with the results. Brittney did a thorough pre-event consultation with the brides, took their dietary preferences and came up with all 3 menus that left no one wanting. She brought along an assistant (extra cost) that was extremely attentive and well worth it. Brittney’s chicken breasts were so moist and flavorful, and she has a knack of putting together great tasting salads full of hearty ingredients that could serve as meals all on their own. She laid out the most amazing charcuterie board I have had the pleasure of digging into. The main event consisted of a wonderful, moist Chilean sea bass that was melt-in-your-mouth pleasing. The Sunday brunch was served buffet style and had so many great, delicious choices, it put many restaurant brunches to shame (she baked some wonderful blueberry muffins that we all thought could easily fit in at any bakery and the avocado toast with smoked salmon was an excellent surprise). Chef Brittney was punctual and professional for all 3 events, and was so easy to work with the entire time. She not only made great suggestions on the food, but she provided the table settings, and created tasteful and elegant tablescapes that accented the joyous event so well. If you are looking to hire someone to give you that personal, hands-on experience for your next special event or dinner party, I would highly suggest you get Chef Brittney on your calendar. The only negative thing I could say about Chef Brittney is that she doesn’t live in California (which is where the majority of the wedding party hailed from). Columbus is very lucky to have her! *** I’m not good at remembering to take photos, so I regret I don’t have more to share with this review.

Chef Brittney is truly next level incredible. From the super easy totally collaborative planning process to the meal itself, everything was top notch. Each of the 4 courses - all incredible on their own - was better than the last. A meal that told our personal story and honored our personal memories, it was just perfect. Brittney made it fun, interactive and truly special for both of us. We can’t wait to work with her again and again. You truly won’t be sorry booking with her!

I always wanted to have a personal chef, and when I came across Brittney's service, I jumped at the opportunity! I've been a client of hers for 6 months, and it's changed my life for the better in so many ways. I can't speak highly enough of her, both personally and professionally. As a major foodie, I appreciate food so much and every morning is like Christmas when I know I have her delicious prepped meals in my fridge to wake up to! Really loved working with Chef Brittney on my event. We were celebrating my parents 50th wedding anniversary and she was super accommodating, easy to work with and the food was delicious. I'll definitely work with Brittney again in the future!

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

    I charge an hourly rate plus groceries but the hourly ranges differ depending on what service is chosen. Thumbtack does not allow us to post an hourly rate. I charge a last minute booking fee if event or occasion is booked less than a week of event date. Booked means non-refundable deposit is received in full. Please see next question for further information about non-refundable deposits, cancellations and rescheduling.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

    Attract Leads, Contact, Consultation with Details, Questions + Answers, Provide Service and Collect Payment. If it is an event, a non refundable deposit will need to be made. Terms of Non Refundable Deposit A non refundable deposit is the first installment toward your service. The deposit covers holding your space on the calendar, time, location and details. This covers all groceries that will be purchased regardless of cancellation. No reimbursement will be issued. Cancellations can be made by either party for any reason both personal and professional. We understand life happens. Respect and understanding will be demonstrated at all times. Rescheduling, if the day and time is available, events and services can be rescheduled.
