When hiring a photographer it is important to take into consideration that having your photograph taken is a service and the resulting images are products. When establishing your budget you should consider these two things independently. Looking for a professional photographer who is able to work within a budget of $200 or less for both services and products is going to be challenging. Most professional photographers charge at least $200 for a session fee that doesn't include products (DVD/CD or Prints). If you do find a photographer who is willing/able to work within a budget of $200 or less for their services AND products it is likely you will not be satisfied with the results. Whether you are filling out a service request on Thumbtack.com or contacting photographers directly through their websites, remember to budget for the photography services and products separately.
