Both of my kids have taken piano lessons with Robin, 3 years each. What a caring and knowledgeable teacher she is! My daughter took lessons for 3 years but then stopped when her other extracurricular activities began to interfere with her ability to practice. Not long after, my son asked if he could start piano lessons! Robin uses a curriculum book series that is fun for kids to use as they improve their performance skills and is also pleasant for parents to listen to as their kids practice. Robin's assets include vocal training as well as a rock music background which makes her "cool" to her students (to my kids at least!) Sadly, neither of my kids is playing piano at present, but Robin's instruction provided them with a solid foundation in music and music theory for their current instruments (flute and percussion). Highly recommended!Sep 15, 2016
Robin is wonderful to work with. She is professional, knowledgeable, patient, kind, and encouraging. Upon my first lesson, I quickly felt comfortable working with her, and found that she goes above and beyond with her students. Robin truly cares about the success of her students as well as their confidence and esteem. I would highly recommend Robin without reservations.Oct 9, 2019Verified
GMS is encouraging, positive, and enjoyable. Would recommend to anyone both young and old! I’m glad I said yes to voice lessons with her!Feb 14, 2018Verified
Piano Lessons (for adults)
I have been taking piano lessons with Robin for the past few months and it has been wonderful! Robin is a patient teacher, has an obvious love for what she does and is great to her students. I cannot recommend Robin enough.Jan 20, 2017Verified
Robin is personable and believes in her students full potential. My voice has already improved immensely after two lessons. Highly recommend!Feb 22, 2017
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? It depends on the student and length of lessons. Typically, my fees are from $20 per 1/2 hour to $50 per hour.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?A potential student contacts me and we discuss desires and goals with regard to lessons and we go from there, scheduling-wise and set up a lesson. At that time, we discuss student's specific interests and is introduced to the appropriate lesson book, if needed. Also, we discuss home studio policies.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I double-majored in Music Composition and Art. I have been a professional musician since age 15 and with my band, THE TRADE (front-woman and writer), received commercial airplay, toured and also appeared on the famous Mitch Albom show and various other talk shows. Also, I've been teaching piano, voice and composition for over 15 years.
