I love the fact the tutoring hours never expire. We bought a package of hours at a cheaper rate and use the initial hours in the spring, some of the summer and some in the fall. Arbor Tutors is amazing!
Jesse did a great job identifying where each of my children stand. He suggested what to work on with them at home, so it doesn't take away from valuable tutoring time. He laid out his strategy for helping them improve!
Nick provided math and science tutoring for my daughter.
Tim was an outstanding instructor. I worked with him multiple times a week outside of class (during office hours and tutor room times). Each time he was ready to help explain and clarify any questions I had about the content. He would provide multiple ways to approach the problem until I understood the material and was comfortable with it. Tim also set up review sessions before exams to allow students to work through problems provided and ask questions. This was something that wasn’t required of him but really showed his students (myself included) that he cared. Tim has a true desire to teach students willing to learn and wants to see everyone succeed. Overall, his dedication to math and his students is what makes him an outstanding instructor and one I highly recommend.
Concetta was quick to respond to my request for a Spanish private tutor. We met within a few days of my request and I am so pleased with her knowledge, skill level, and affable personality. I look forward to working with her.
I am prompt and reliable. If I do not immediately know something, I will spend extra needed time until I understand it enough to effectively teach it.
We hired John Brown to tutor our daughter in math. He was excellent! We saw her improved with the focus work on her exams and gain more confidence. He was trustworthy mentor and I was at ease whith him.

I am a tutor. I have extensive tutoring experience in a variety of fields. I have tutored in English and STEM subjects, specifically calculus. I have helped students learn to understand complex literature, comprehension, and mathematical concepts, developed an interest in the sciences, and helped improve test scores. Your program requires that tutors are able to assist students in multiple subjects, and my experience would allow me to do just that. I am able to work with diverse students of different backgrounds and knowledge bases very well. As a summer camp counselor, I have experience working with elementary- and middle-school students. I have also tutored high-school freshmen and seniors in algebra, calculus, and science. Through these tutoring and counseling positions, I have learned how to best teach diverse groups of students. For example, I drew diagrams and gave real-life examples to help my algebra students understand how the concepts of variables apply to real-life situations, to develop their interest while I used referencing to algebra and 3-dimensional graphs to explain conceptual topics to my calculus students. I am passionate about helping students improve in all academic subjects. I still remember my excitement when my calculus tutee received her first A on a test after struggling for a semester to understand the concepts and barely managing a C average! I am confident that my passion and experience are the qualities you are looking for in the tutor. Thank you so much for your time and consideration. Sincerely, Isha Tyagi

I offer academic tutoring services. I have two advance degrees and two undergraduate degrees. I enjoy teaching and helping others learn. Ever since I tutored college students at Franklin University, I have always wanted to pursue education by teaching learners. Now that I have a post master's in college teaching, I understand that every student is unique and have different learning styles. Every educator must know how to hone in on these learning styles to ensure that learning takes place.
I am a college professor and a former secondary mathematics and computer science teacher. I have a high-percentage passage of the OGT and AP college tests.
I am passionate about education and the positive things it can do for your life. I went back to college at the age of 35 and it completely changed my life. I have a proven track record with a diverse group of students and am able to make education challenging but fun. My Bachelors degrees are in English and History, from The Ohio State University, but my license qualifies me to teach grades K-12.
As someone who was very recently a student himself, I have a closeness and familiarity with the particular brand of confusion that ails confused students that most older professional tutors do not. Contrary to popular belief, however, this confusion isn’t a bad thing - quite the opposite, it is essential to intellectual growth, the sweat of learning. Just as well as I know the feeling of not quite “getting” something, I know the immense joy that comes with overcoming it and excelling as a result. Over my 4 years as an instructor, I’ve seen the wonders that giving children a deep conceptual understanding of the basics, and showing them why everything they learn is exciting and interesting, can do. If given the chance, I believe I could help your child succeed with flying colors in academics and beyond.
I live my life by the Golden Rule. I treat people the way I wish to be treated.
I pay attention to the particular style of learning that works best for the student and incorporate it in the lesson. If one strategy is not working for the student, then we will try another.

For a short while prior to graduation, I was the tutoring supervisor of the department, and would help design the policies used to evaluate the scheduling system and other tutors. With all these facets, I know how to make a sessions productive and how to identify what problems a person is having in their class, as well as to identify what type of learner they are: visual, auditory, kinesthetic, etc.
