- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I do not charge for the time to diagnose a problem. My minimum bench fee is $50.00; but I rarely charge hourly. My rate is based upon the problem and the estimated time to repair. This is handled and finalized during the negotiation phase of the process.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?Mutual introductions to get each of us a chance to gauge the other. A Q&A session to understand the nature and scope of the problem; and to give the customer an idea of the cost and the turn around time of the repair. Discuss shipping versus pickup and delivery. Sign release form giving me permission to work on their computer. Fix the problem. Return the computer.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I am a Microsoft Certified Professional since 2001. I have worked in the IT industry, in a repair/support capacity since 1998, in Computer Retail, the Auto Industry, the Private Airline Industry, the Fast Food Industry and the United States Defense Department. I have seen a lot and fixed a lot; so I mean it when I tell you that everything will be just fine.
