I own a mobile DJ business, and have been at multiple events where Lisa Nelson and Just For the Occasion have catered. I've always been impressed with the overall presentation and professionalism shown. Most recently I experienced JFTO's services at a wedding and reception held at a community shelter house. I had attended other events at this venue and didn't expect much. Lisa and her staff transformed the place into a very elegant setting. Decorations were on point, and the food was delicious Definitely one of the best in the business!

Our wedding day was the Best Day Ever! This was largely due to Andrea Sargent of Andrea’s Occasions being our wedding planner. From the first day we started planning our wedding with Andrea to the day of our wedding; Andrea was truly a blessing in so many ways. Her professionalism and attention to detail was amazing. Her knowledge of the wedding process was very helpful to us as she brought up important details that I had never even thought of. With Andrea being part of the WPC (Wedding Professionals of Columbus) she was able to help us with finding the perfect vendors to make our wedding day vision come true. Andrea worked very hard on our wedding day timeline. We met several times and she made many drafts of the timeline until it was perfect. One of the most important things that we wanted for our wedding day was that all of our family members be able to enjoy the day with us and not have to be involved with any of the organizing details or dealing with issues. Because of Andrea’s thoughtfulness and being so thorough the entire day went smoothly. It was a very beautiful and memorable day for us and our families. We really can’t thank Andrea and her assistants enough for all that they did to make our wedding day so special.

I had hired Sarah for full service for our wedding in April 2018. She is absolutely the only reason the wedding was such a hit and went without a hitch! She set up every meeting and every vendor (which were are superb!) She is kind, helpful, and so patient through the entire process (as I was not too into the wedding planning). If I could hire her all over again, I would! I will genuinely miss her awesome attitude and great friendship throughout the entire process! Anyone planning a wedding should hire her immediately-she is the best!

I highly recommend working with God's Creations. Sandra is extremely thorough, making me think through little details I would have missed that made a big difference in my son's wedding reception. She followed every instruction to a "T" and what she had to ad-lib she did so with a perfect eye for esthetics and spacing to move about. Great company.

    Emily helped me plan my son's bar mitzvah. When I did not like the invitations that were already made, she created the perfect one for us. She created thank you cards as well. She designed and set up the table displays that fit our theme of Italian soccer. They were wonderful and everyone commented on them. She designed place cards as well. Emily quickly responded to all my phone calls and emails. It was so easy to work with her and I would highly recommend Emily for any event that you are planning. Her creativity is an asset and she will work hard to make your special day perfect. Her attention to detail and your needs will make you feel like you are her only client! It goes without saying that Emily is excellent.

    Landon served as our (impromptu) wedding planner and wedding officiant; what I mean is, he had already agreed to be our officiant and I (thought I was) was planning our wedding myself, until we had our first meeting with Landon. I expressed some concerns regarding the planning of the wedding at this meeting, in casual conversation and asked for a couple of tips. It was about two months or so away from our wedding and he knew all the advice to give, feedback on existent ideas and suggestions I hadn't even thought of. Landon was so helpful, creative and REALISTIC (some Pinterest ideas I had were not) and he helped make the day as effortlessly perfect as possible. I wish I would have asked Landon to be my official wedding planner in the beginning, as it would have saved me a few sleepless nights but, either way, he was wonderfully helpful with everything he did and I would highly recommend him to any couple, or for any event. Landon will put all of his attention into your event and he will make it a spectacular day for you and yours. Thanks Landon!

    I hired Custom Weddings by Angelique for my wedding and the service that she provided was extraordinary. From the moment my husband and I met her when knew she was the one. We had met with several other planners and their personalities were dull and not appealing. Angelique was very hands on and she catered to our needs.     R & S events handled my twins first birthday party and did an amazing job in arranging all details from the cake, to the amazing dessert table, to the location and the little details on what to order with food. I thought at first i would not need a planner but with my hands full and on that day you get so busy meeting guests that there is no time to handle party details. They followed through my emails and texted me right away when i had a question !!

    I've used the many services of Reverend Davis over the past few years. Most memorable were as wedding officiant and event planner. Andrew offers positive energy and intelligent synergy to any event. I enjoy the way he employs his breadth and depth of life experience to my projects. First off, he's awesome with people, so easy and fun to work with. Second, although he realizes you're the client and have final say-so, he's not afraid to bring up new ideas, or improve on existing ones. Because of the creative match-up, you can give him the high-level information and let him run with the details - I've always wholeheartedly enjoyed the result. Andrew is a musician, creative writer, focused researcher, fearless presenter, and a great officiant. He's a good guy, and he clearly works hard to keep his clients happy, no matter what he's doing.

Wedding planning is similar to event planning in that a planning team handles the coordination of multiple wedding elements including catering, venue, guests, entertainment, decor, transportation and more. Anyone who has ever been involved in a wedding can confirm that wedding planning is hard work. Experience brings wisdom when it comes to avoiding or resolving day-of challenges. There is no legal regulatory body that oversees or certifies wedding planning as an industry. Anyone who chooses can call themselves a wedding planner.       How much do day-of wedding coordinators cost?

      A day-of wedding coordinator makes sure that every detail of your wedding day goes off without a hitch, and deals quickly and quietly with any last-minute emergencies. For many brides, the day-of wedding coordinator is their best investment! The average national cost for a wedding coordinator is $800 to $1,000. Although full-service wedding coordinators often charge a percentage of the total wedding budget, most day-of coordinators charge a flat fee plus an additional hourly fee if the day runs long. For example, a 15-hour day-of coordination costs an average of $600, plus an additional $45 per hour if the coordinator works more than the planned 15 hours. Another option is to hire a coordinator to manage the last-minute details leading up to the event; for example, 25 hours of month-of coordination costs an average of $1,200. Several factors affect the cost of day-of coordination, including the region, the planner’s experience, and the specifics of the wedding. If the ceremony and reception are in two different locations, expect to pay more than if they’re in the same place.       What should you ask a wedding coordinator?

      When you hire a wedding coordinator, you want to make sure he or she gets you and can execute perfectly your vision of your dream wedding. To find the very best fit, it’s important to ask these five questions:

      • Are you available on my wedding date? If the coordinator isn’t available on your big day, there’s no reason to continue the interview — unless you’re willing to shift your date to accommodate their schedule.
      • What’s average cost of most of your weddings? If the coordinator’s usual wedding is outside your range, they might not be the right coordinator for you. Ask whether the coordinator requires a minimum wedding budget. In general, the wedding coordinator’s fee should be about 15 percent of your budget.
      • What is your speciality? Some coordinators specialize in day-of coordination, some create the overall vision, and others act as a producer. Make sure your wedding coordinator provides the type of services that will most help you create the event you have in mind, such as selecting vendors and handling their contracts, or managing the guest list and invitations.
      • What are your ideas for fulfilling our wedding vision? After you describe your dream wedding — rustic or sophisticated, traditional or funky — the wedding coordinator should be able to suggest appropriate venues, menus, decorations, etc..

      Do I need a wedding day coordinator?

      Even if you’ve handled every detail of planning your wedding, you might appreciate having a day-of wedding coordinator in your corner. Usually, the coordinator meets with you a few weeks before your wedding to put together a detailed timeline of everything that needs to happen on your wedding day. Then, on the big day, the coordinator makes sure everything goes according to plan — and handles any emergencies that pop up, such as party crashers, missing tuxedos, late vendors, disappearing bridal party members and more. Most wedding coordinators also handle:

      • Distributing the wedding day timeline to all of your vendors.
      • Coordinating all of your vendors, including the photographer, florist and baker.
      • Conducting the wedding rehearsal.
      • Helping the bride and her wedding party get dressed and take photos.
