The movers showed up in a trailer being towed by a truck. I was shocked as I had quite a bit of stuff that I had outlined in my quote. The owner commented that I had too much stuff and it would likely take more than one trip. He also felt the need to infom me that it was raining and that would make the job harder. He later apologized for his reaction. They ended up taking about 3/4 of my stuff then I ended up needing to rent a truck and move the rest myself. When they got to the drop off location they only moved furniture to where it went and left everything else on main level which I needed to then move. The price was affordable but I feel like you get what you pay for. They operated very differently from other movers who show in a large truck and will move all items. They would be ok for a small mover but would not recommend for average to large move.Dec 7, 2018Verified

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Pretty simple, actually. Cash is king. Some jobs are by the hour and some are flat rates. It depends on the job, if I need a helper, how far away the job is and several other factors.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I bid on a job that I can do. If I never hear back, I send a follow-up message. If I do hear back, I answer my messages promptly and often survey the property beforehand. I attempt to schedule customers at a time that it is best for them.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?Went to the School of Hard Knocks, being a homeowner, various warehouse jobs. Also, I am buying all the latest tools out there.
