What a beautiful garden center! Right now it is a Christmas wonderland, with inspirational displays and friendly employees. Loved our visit-will be back next spring for plants for sure!Nov 22, 2018Review from Google
Lovely garden center...everyone was so nice and helpful.Nov 22, 2018Review from Google
I have walked in to Pandy's several times within the past month. I am very disappointed with how much they have changed especially with the holiday season soon to arrive. I miss the times the Christmas trees were set up and all lit with lights where you could travel down a path and view every option. I miss the "Christmas Wonderland." There was a train by the birds, poinsettias in the garden area of every color imaginable, the line for santa by the trees, beverages for guests, the light option that covered the whole back of the store, and lit trees outside the back for customers to purchase. The decorations now look as if no thought or holiday spirit was put into it. Every decoration looks to have a commercialized look that could be done by any person off the street. They hurriedly decorated it because everybody else was doing it. The prices are extremely over priced and the organization is not seen in the displays. It's not set in the view of a child's eye, it looks as if it's from the eyes of an adult just to quickly make a sale.Next, I notice there is one man who seems to be the owner. He is always on his phone, never happy, disrespecting other employees. (especially in front of customers) He seems to have an attitude based on his own self and not living the way the business was founded on. His attitude seems to affect the other employees. I know that everyday a business doesn't have a rosy day but I yet have to see one rosy day in the times I've visited. How do you feel the negative attitude affects other employees? I can't even describe how many times this gentleman is on his phone while in Pandy's uniform. Some one like this should work at Verizon? Am I wrong? One time I walked in and he was asked a simple question by a customer and huffed and complained that he had to stop talking on his phone to assist them. For as many young employees that work there I am astonished that they can be without using there cell phone as much as he does. It seems as if management expects the employees to carry out tradition and respect but can't follow through themselves. Just remember do what you love and love what you do in order to be successful.Nov 21, 2018Review from GooglePandy's Premier Garden Center, Landscaping And Seed Company Inc.'s reply
Thanks for your lengthy review. It sounds like you are in the store ALOT for some one that is dissatisfied. If I had to guess, you are perhaps an employee that no longer works for Pandys??? I only suggest this as you know our cell phone policy.... I only wish you would list your name and not hide behind your confusing statements. We love our clients, we work very hard to grow flowers and provide excellent client services. We have thousands of adoring clients that have shopped with us since 1961...that's an amazing amount of time for a business to survive....We are proud to support our community and we love our staff and even try to help them when they have personal issues to deal with. Being a family-owned business, we can schedule around college students, family issues, doctor's appointments, court appearances---you name it, we accommodate it. Seriously, we only wish you the best, it is very stressful owning your own business and trying to make everyone happy is a challenge we strive for every single day. Please stop in and speak to one of the owners next time you visit and express any further thoughts and or suggestions, we would love to meet with you! Have a great day :) Success is the result of perfection, hard work, learning from failure, loyalty, and persistence.
Love pandy's! We have been going every year around Christmas time to pick out a new ornament with our family for 9 years, and my husband went when he was little with his parents! Everyone is always so friendly and helpful. They always start conversation and actually care about their customers!!Feb 15, 2019Review from Google
Decided to stop around five p.m. So much to see and choose from. Best part are the prices, so much cheaper than their competitors.Dec 24, 2018Review from Google
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? Our initial consultation is free. Depending on how detailed or elaborate of a drawing you require, a fee may be charged. In most instances, no fee is charged.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?Landscaping can be a huge decision and having a job done right is very important. We have found it is in both our best interests to travel to your site, meet with you and discuss your wants and needs and then prepare a customized estimate based on your preferences.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?As a second generation family business, we have performed many jobs and truly know how and where plants should be grown. We will design an outstanding landscape which will be beautiful for many years. We are not "bush pushers" which oversell you! Plants will grow and the size 5 -10 years down the road must be considered. So many landscapes I see have a blue spruce or river birch off the corner of a house. It looks great the first and second season, but down the road those trees can reach 35-50' and engulf your home. No a great idea. We plan for the future and so should you!!
