Introduction: Holkenborg Design and Landscape LLC is a full-service design/build/maintain company. We create and maintain beautiful and functional landscapes for homes and businesses in Central Ohio. My name is Jon Holkenborg, and I'm the principal designer and horticulturist at HD and L. I'm a graduate of The Ohio State University College of Agriculture in landscape horticulture and an Ohio certified nursery technician (OCNT-Landscape) with over 30 years of experience realizing unique outdoor environments for my clients. I take the time to listen. I want to learn about your needs, your wants, and your visions so that I can produce a design that accurately depicts the setting for your "life activities". Through our process, we will choose hardscape elements that will complement your home or business and the appropriate plantings in regard to desired effect, mature size and cultural considerations. Quality workmanship and professionalism are values that we strive to demonstrate in all that we do. As the designers and installers, we are best qualified to maintain your landscape. We know the soil conditions of the site as it relates to fertilization, drainage and compaction. We know how to prune the chosen ornamental plants to enhance their appearance and prolong their appeal in the landscape.
