Responds within a day

Introduction: We care about the pet and the owner it is more than just a job we could be salvaging the relationship and we take that very seriously. The satisfaction of seeing the clients face the first time the pet does what the ower has been working towards. And seeing the dog so happy to have connected in that way with their owner.

Lisa was very helpful with our 9 year old beagle who had started getting aggressive with my husband and teenage daughter. All her training used only positive reinforcement and her assessment was quick and on point. I never thought we would be able to train our old dog!! Lisa is very knowledgeable and uses different methods until she found what worked. She also spent one on one time with our daughter to address her concerns and interactions with our dog. She is very relatable and friendly along with firmness in dealing directly with our beagle. I would highly recommend her for any training!!

Details: 2 - 10 years old • Medium (26 - 40 lbs) • Private lessons • Aggressive behavior modification • My home, venue, etc. • At the pro’s location

I have a 6 year old Pit/Boxer mix who recently started showing some aggression toward other dogs and some people. The moment Lisa walked in the door I knew she was the trainer for Troy. She knew exactly what to do to make Troy comfortable with herself and strangers. Not only did she train Troy but she made sure we knew exactly what to when she wasn’t here. After only 4 sessions Troy is so well behaved, listens to my commands, and I have all the confidence in him! I highly recommend Lisa for any of your training needs!

Details: 2 - 10 years old • Large (41 - 70 lbs) • Private lessons • Aggressive behavior modification • Leash pulling • Barking • At the pro’s location • My home, venue, etc.

Unfortunately Lisa was not the trainer for us. We were really happy to see that she was not scared of our dog like most people, and she did an amazing job recommending people who could help us such as animal behaviorists. She really helped us decipher why our dog was acting this way, and give us some insight on what his past may have been like. Overall Lisa did a great job. And since we needed someone with a PhD, she didn’t charge us for the lesson.

Details: 1 - 2 years old • Small (16 - 25 lbs) • Private lessons • Aggressive behavior modification • Barking • Biting • My home, venue, etc.

Although I have zero professional dog training experience, I do have a human/animal psychology degree, so I know which schools of thought work best and which are pseudoscience and Lisa uses the best current method available called operant conditioning, or positive reinforcement. It sounds simple, but without professional help it can be hard to figure out what exercises to use when you want to remove unwanted behaviors instead of just training your dog to do tricks. It can also be difficult to phase out treat use once a behavior is mastered (since no one wants to need perpetual treats to achieve good behavior). Lisa makes all that guesswork easy by giving you training exercise "homework" each week customized to your dog's behavioral needs, which will lead to newly shaped desirable behaviors to replace undesirable ones. You can tell she is really passionate about what she does. She doesn't judge or try to correct what you find acceptable behavior in your own dog as some trainers will (i.e. allowing dogs on furniture) but she instead listens to YOUR behavioral goals for your dog and helps get you there. Last but not least, her price is the best I've seen for her amazing skill level. To compare, I sent my dog to a training center for just a week, and it was $750 for him to come back with sit, stay, lay down, and heel which are great commands, but at that price Lisa could have come to my house 13 times. Plus, they used a prong collar on unwanted behaviors that we're still using as management only (even in the house which I fear will cause injury) which is why we called Lisa. We're already on a path to no leash indoors with a 6 month old goldendoodle.
