My experience with Sable Cakes was a fantastic one! They provided a small cake and cupcakes for a birthday celebration. All of it was great tasting and well received by everyone in attendance. The cake was especially awesome as it actually had candy in/on it...couldn't go wrong! Highly recommend

Christina was amazing. She came to the house, brought all the necessary ingredients and tools that I didn't have and prepared a lovely and delicious meal for us, including a lesson on knife technique and product selection. Christina was such a joy to be around and made our evening with guests so much more fun than we could have ever imagined. We will definitely use her again! (I have made the meatballs 100 times since she was here since she left me the recipe!)

Chef Otis is VERY knowledgeable. We organized a grilling how to class and date night for 5 couples. He dealt with a food allergy without batting an eye. The theme of the meal was Jamaican Jerk Chicken and it was amazing!!! We are already planning our next event with Chef Otis.

Brittany was first class full-service for our events Her knowledge and creativity was exactly what we were looking for.She helped create our bar menu, and even created a signature drink. She knew exactly how much we needed to avoid waste and control costs as well as offered to source and pick up the alcohol and supplies. She took all the legwork off our plate. Brittany is professional and a lot of fun, she has a great read on people and knows how to engage with our guests. She gave us 150% she offers to stay longer and no need to worry about clean up because she handles that too. I would recommend Brittany for any event. She's awesome!

Miranda did an outstanding job for us. She came to our home on a Friday night and led three couples in a cooking class, helping us prepare a fabulous beef tenderloin dinner, complete with roasted vegetables, hasselback potatoes, caesar salad, and two desserts--all gluten free and delicious. She she prepared the menus, brought all the food and led a personalized cooking class on par with classes at Sur la Table, or Cook Wares. When the food was ready, we moved to the dining room and had a great time of fellowship enjoying our culinary delights together.

How much do private cooking lessons cost?

You can take private cooking classes to have fun, to learn a new skill, to improve your health, to bond with your partner, to enjoy a playful first date or to have a unique birthday party experience. Nationally the average cost of private cooking lessons ranges between $100 and $150. Prices can vary, depending on where you live, the type of cooking class you’re taking, the ingredients the chef provides, and the reputation of the chef. Cooking classes with Anthony Bourdain will clearly cost more than classes with a local restaurant owner. The number of people in the class will also affect the cost, with group lessons often priced per person to account for the cost of ingredients. For example, for group lessons, a brunch workshop may cost an average of $70 per person, a steak dinner with sides could cost an average of $80-$85 per person, and a sushi lesson could cost an average of $100 per person. Ingredients play a major role in cost, as the chef will pre-purchase the food you will be working with. Weekday classes will usually cost less than weekend classes.
