9-10 months ago, American Siding and Roofing replaced our roof, plywood sheeting, fascia, gutters, soffit, siding, patio cover, and covering all exposed wood with matching custom-formed aluminum. Brad and his crews did an excellent job, and I feel we were treated well, paid a fair price, and received an excellent value. All of the work greatly improved the overall look of our home.
Last week about 8 pm during a heavy rain (early spring), we found that water was running down through one of our bathroom exhaust vents. We have had many of these heavy rains since the work was completed, but have had no problems with leaks.
I immediately called Brad and explained the problem. We agreed to an appointment the next morning. Shortly afterwards, Brad called me back and was concerned that the radar showed the rain would continue to be heavy for several hours. He asked if he could come over that night to check out the leak.
Brad arrived in about 30 minutes, climbing onto the single story roof in the rain and thunder. He made adjustments to the shingles to the sides of the vent, trimming some of the shingles away. It appears that the spring buds from neighbor's trees had blown onto the roof and caused the buds to gather along the edges, holding the water back and allowing the water to enter the vent and run down the metal vent tube. There was no damage to the roof or the ceiling, as the water was contained to the inside of the vent tube.
Brad also trimmed the shingles on the other two exhaust vents to eliminate the possibility of similar issues.
Brad's quick response and experience with roofing installation and resolving problem issues is greatly appreciated.
