Miguel is the best trainer I've worked with. He really pays attention to his clients goals and meets them where they are physically- beginners to athletes. He helps with nutrition planning as well and has taught me good habits that I can use daily to be an overall healthier person. He's able to be both coach and cheerleader, depending on what you need. I recommend him to everyone I know!

I have been frequent recipient of Jessica’s bartending services in my events. She has always been upmost professional in her conduct. Always on time and extremely detail oriented not to have any slightest chance of slip ups. Her guest service is second to none and she is very cordial, polite and indulging. . She is a great fun and quite knowledgeable too. In fact, couple of occasions , she walked an extra mile in helping out in setting up the event room and lend helping hand in the food/catering task as well. Everyone in my events always have a blast trying all the drink specials. I would highly recommend them for any party and am sure I will use their services for my next events. Couple of my friends and my coworkers have already booked her services.

Robert catered my husband's 50th surprise birthday party for 40 guests at our home in Westerville. His service, presentation and food were all exceptional. He made our special event unforgettable and all of our friends and family raved about how great the food was. Robert prepared lobster tail, shrimp and chicken Chardonnay plus sides. He interacted and mingled with family and guests and has a great and warm personality. I would highly recommend him to all our friends and family. Great job Robert!

I have been working out for years and have been to quite a few gyms. However, this gym is by far my favorite! Elite Physiques is a small neighborhood gym where there is a sense of community and everyone knows your name. You will always be greeted by smiling, happy people who are happy to help you achieve your fitness goals. The trainers are well educated, knowledgeable and an expert in the industry. After an initial consultation, they will explain the functional training method which combines total body, flexibility, core training, endurance and agility to achieve your fitness goals. In addition, they may integrate cardiovascular and resistance training and nutritional diet recommendations.. All this personal attention to your fitness goals! The equipment is great, new and easy to use and they have cardio machines with no waits! I highly recommend this gym to anyone in the Columbus area.

I worked with Allen in Encinitas, California, and was pleasantly surprised with his knowledge base and willingness to adjust the workout to my needs. I am a former athlete with bad knees and back, but a love for kettlebells and strength training. Allen's ability to tailor a perfect workout, and adjust as needed, allowed me to lose weight, gain energy, and gain strength and great posture! He was always inspiring and patient when I wanted to give up or skip a particular exercise. I highly recommend Allen to anyone who wants to make health and fitness a lifestyle and not just a part time notion. He can get you where you need to go in a calm, respectful, and fun way. Work with him and you won't be disappointed. He was able to compete with a very saturated pool of trainer in a part of the country where most people are fit and health conscious. That is impressive!

We used World Wide Catering for a baby shower and they were fantastic! It was a Cinco De Mayo theme so we had a food truck with Mexican inspired dishes. The food was delicious and the staff was super friendly. The event ended up running later than expected and they were happy to accommodate us by staying. I would recommend them and their food truck services to anyone in need of catering an event. Dishes, silverware and napkins were all provided, the menu selection was just right, and communication and scheduling with them is a breeze! It was nice to not have to clean up for once, and their prices are beyond reasonable. Thanks so much for making the baby shower and awesome event!

Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

How much does a nutritionist cost?

A nutritionist provides expertise and guidance to help clients with all diet-related health matters, including losing weight, gaining muscle, improving their sports performance, and managing diabetes or high cholesterol. Nutritionists can help people learn to follow special diets in a healthy way, such as becoming vegetarian or vegan or developing a low-sodium or gluten-free eating plan. The average national cost of a nutritionist is $60 to $100. Nutritionists often require an initial consultation with a new client, during which they’ll take a medical history, assess the client’s nutritional needs, and determine the best course of action; this first meeting usually averages $100-$120 for a 45-minute to 90-minute consultation. Subsequent nutritional counseling sessions generally cost less, ranging from an average of $45 for a half-hour session to $60-$90 for a one-hour session. Like many professional service providers, nutritionists may offer discounts through package pricing. For instance, a one-month package with two sessions and email support costs an average of $190; a three-month package with three sessions and email support costs an average of $360; and a six-month package with six sessions and email support costs an average of $540.

How much do private cooking lessons cost?

You can take private cooking classes to have fun, to learn a new skill, to improve your health, to bond with your partner, to enjoy a playful first date or to have a unique birthday party experience. Nationally the average cost of private cooking lessons ranges between $100 and $150. Prices can vary, depending on where you live, the type of cooking class you’re taking, the ingredients the chef provides, and the reputation of the chef. Cooking classes with Anthony Bourdain will clearly cost more than classes with a local restaurant owner. The number of people in the class will also affect the cost, with group lessons often priced per person to account for the cost of ingredients. For example, for group lessons, a brunch workshop may cost an average of $70 per person, a steak dinner with sides could cost an average of $80-$85 per person, and a sushi lesson could cost an average of $100 per person. Ingredients play a major role in cost, as the chef will pre-purchase the food you will be working with. Weekday classes will usually cost less than weekend classes.

Are nutritionists covered by health insurance?

Nutrition counseling can be a critical component of good health care, especially for people recently diagnosed with diabetes or high cholesterol who need to adhere to a specific diet. People also meet with nutritionists for help developing a healthy vegetarian or vegan diet, developing an eating plan to lose weight or gain muscle, or improving their sports performance by changing their diet. Nutritionists may be covered by health insurance depending on your reason for meeting with them. Nutrition counseling is more likely to be covered if it is part of a doctor-prescribed treatment for a particular medical condition, such as diabetes, obesity, high blood pressure or coronary heart disease. For example, Medicare covers medical nutrition therapy services only for people diagnosed with diabetes or kidney disease, as long as they get a referral from their doctor. Also, insurance providers more often cover nutrition visits if the patient has been referred to a registered dietitian within the carrier’s network of providers. Insurance plans vary greatly, so research your benefits before visiting a nutritionist.
