Jaeden loved the two lessons he took with Jody. But his long term piano teacher feels Jaeden got confused with having two teachers at the same time. Thanks, Jody. I wish we know you two years ago.

Jody teaches my 6 year old piano. She is very knowledgable and patient with my daughter. I highly recommend her to anyone that is looking for a piano teacher.

About this pro

I think it's important to develop trust with students. Making music is personal. It needs to be safe to make mistakes, because we all do. I try to develop that trust and let students know that mistakes are part of the process. We all make mistakes on the path to success. Teaching privately I have the luxury to work with students one on one and take the time to explain concepts I could never take the time to explain to a classroom full of students.

    Q & A

    • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Honestly, my price is going rate in my area. My daughters took piano lessons from ages 5-18, voice lessons from 7th grade through graduation and lessons on their band instruments. I've paid for a lot of lessons! Some were a little less, some were a little more, but most of the time I paid $20 for a 30 minute lessons.
    • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I continue to sing and play. Even as I teach, I want to keep up my own skills. I continue to practice. I need to keep learning new music and rehearsal skills.
    • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
You want someone with experience as a teacher as well as a musician. A teacher's ability to pass along information is as important as their musical ability.
Coverage Area for Jody Hepp Music Studio is about 30+ miles of Hilliard, OH.
