Scott Simmons for DJ Express is absoloutely wonderful! I have used his dj services 3 times now, once for my wedding reception, and twice for my corporate holiday parties. Scott is very professional, accommodating, punctual, prepared and has some of the best equipment out there for entertaining. The music choices that Scott uses is the best from oldies, to the new hip hop/r&b music out there currently. He works with you as the customer and really goes above and beyond to make your function the best it can be! I have been so happy with his services, that I continually use him over and over again - and will continue to! I will and DO recommend DJ Express - Scott Simmons to everyone that I know for their DJ needs!!!

I highly recommend Scott Simmons from DJ Express to host any event. Scott was the DJ for my wedding on 8/25/13 and he went above and beyond the duties of a "normal" DJ. My husband and I loved Scott from the very first time we met. He was willing to meet us at any location, was very organized, and was always very nice and professional. My husband and I were concerned to start the wedding planning process since we would be having a Jewish/Greek hybrid wedding. That being said, we wanted and needed some particular music to be played at our reception. Scott was very willing and capable of making these adjustments for us. My family was very difficult at times but Scott was very nice about it and only listened to my husband and I, which was very nice to know! Scott is more than just a DJ. He represents you and your entire wedding by making sure everything that you want is done how you want it. Additionally, what sold me was his general customer service outreach. He greeted all of my guests and showed them where their tables were, offered to take my dinner plate to my table, and was fun the entire night! Scott's prices, packages, add ons, and customer service cannot be matched! Do not waste your money on some big company when you can get amazing service with DJ Express at half the cost!!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My typical wedding reception package is $550.00 for 5 hours My typical Wedding ceremony & reception package is $650.00 for 6 hours All packages come with $2,00.00 in dance floor lighting (free of charge) I will also provide coordination of every event (free of charge)
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to establish a relationship first to find out what the couples goals, aspirations and dreams are for their wedding day. Some couples are comfortable talking through email or phone conversations and some couple would rather have a sit down, question and answer meeting. I find that the face to face meetings are better in creating a good working relationship.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I started out in 1988 as a club DJ (8 years) at the biggest dance bar on the Ohio University campus. I started my DJ business in 1991 and have worked over 700 wedding receptions since. I also have 2 college degrees in fire and emergency medical technology, so remaining professional in my full time career carries over into my part time DJ business.
