I was contacted by Conte on February 8th to schedule a time for them to come out and talk about an addition to our home. They were prompt in making the appointment and showed up on time. It has now been 3 weeks since they came out and I have not been contacted by anyone. They said it could take a little time to get a quote put together but 3 weeks seems like a little longer than it should take. We are wanting to start the project soon and are now 4 weeks out from our initial inquire date. *Update* After posting this review they contacted us and provided a quote. We may have considered their steep pricing, more than double what other companies had quoted, if it didn't look like a generic template that was thrown together in 5 minutes. We also had been promised a break down of pricing to determine each stage of the build which we did not receive either.

We proud that we are not one of the contractors who was a no-show for Chelsea . Chelsea had just posted today on a new request that 4 contractors did not call or show up for her estimates. Those kinds of companies are typically "lowball" estimators that we avoid completely. We always provide a legitimate first estimate with total figures and allow the customer to accept or reject , which we can break down in stages , (but doing things in stages increases the pricing. )There was never a need to break down the pricing for her since she desired another contractor we were told. We always present very simple straightforward first pricing, but Chelsea apparently doesn't like our simplistic format, but it was not a template. (We have no templates for pricing. ) Her project is a very involved bathroom two-story addition with specific design parameters. The pricing format was simple , the project is not, and therefore not considered steep , just expensive , intricate and labor-intensive. In 44 years of service to our community , many customers have selected our higher pricing and benefited and enjoyed working with us. Maybe Chelsea can't fully appreciate what it takes to become one of America's top 500 remodelers , which award we have already secured over 30 years ago. We wish her the best in finding a contractor that wants to work with her and will show up like we did, And full pricing within two weeks of our appointment as promised. Should Chelsea not be able to find a good fit for her demands , our estimate is still good for the project. Many of our customers have returned to do business with us after fully researching their project and realizing the full scope and cost to be fair and logical . It's what keeps us growing, our great customers !

We respond in timely way to all WRITTEN quotes. Chelsie contacted us Feb.8th & together we scheduled a Feb.20 appointment , which was promptly made on time as usual. We then informed her that 10-14 days( from Feb.20) is needed to assemble her quote. That 2 weeks is needed to check codes, permits & feasibility study for the Remodel work the customer desires. That way an accurate quote can be sent. So , this week , within the 14 day period following our Feb.20 appt. at her home, we send the quote. Might she have misunderstood our needed time of 10-14 days following the first appointment ? We actually have been working on Chelsie's quote, not delaying in anyway, in that time frame. We understand all Folks want their quote ASAP. Seeming delays, are just part of the quote process. Some take longer, some less-- but 10-14 days is common & acceptable to our industry. Especially , as we strive for accuracy with Chelsie's amongst all our quotes. It's still a privilege to quote work for her family and all our customers !

Scheduled an estimate appointment on Saturday for the following Wednesday at 10am. This was the earliest time they offered me between two days I could schedule. My husband stayed home from work for a half day on this morning to meet with Conte estimator also. Unfortunately at 9:58am I receive a text message stating "Jessica - David Conte was scheduled there at 10am - something unexpected has come up , he had to be on a large project immediately , Sorry - will try next week appt with you - thx , Mike Conte" I was upset at being notified so late and with just a text message. I also did not want to wait until the following week to get an estimate after I had already met with all the other contractors. My reply was as follows: "This is very late notice considering it is 958... I have met with 4 contractors now. I do not want to wait for another into next week. Thanks for your time." Then I received this reply: "That's what unexpected means - you have a good day folks - " This reply on their part seems very childish and disrespectful. Had they followed with a respectful sorry or no answer at all I would have been fine letting it all go but after reading reviews of how nice they are to work with I felt obligated to leave a review showing the brief encounter I experienced with their terrible customer service. If something comes up, no problem but unless it came up as they were standing on my porch I believe they had time to call and say they would be late first since it was 958 when they cancelled. They should have the common courtesy of a phone call when they are canceling that late. AND most of all if a customer no longer wants their services because they practically no-showed by canceling 2minutes before meeting and notified me via text message, and stated they'd get around to seeing me "into next week" they should take that news politely Instead of replying with some bickering message. So you may hire these remodelers and everything goes wonderfully because apparently they do great work. But I caution you because if something goes wrong I'd imagine their less than courteous customer service would shine through.

We simply told the truth. Some projects require immediate attention. We would do the same for Jessica, if her project required it. Contractors must make their best judgement in their inability to be in two places at once . We asked to reschedule and notified her by email & telephone call & text . What more can we do ? Next week is still open for our appt book. We offered that to her and still do . Our messages appear to be misinterpreted . Sorry , it happened that way . We built 10,000 customers , because we know how to handle many situations . Some get disappointed, others appreciate our efforts .

Less than a year ago I had bad windows and then Conte Remodelers, LLC came to the rescue. Over the years my husband and I have bought many items for our home and have been satisfied most of the time! This time was different! First, the service I received was great! Everything was explained in detail. Second, the workers were friendly and professional! Third, I love my windows! Our heating bill was much lower this past winter...YES!! Also my windows are beautiful! My windows are the best in my Columbus neighbor! The only thing they could have done better was given them to me for free!! Thanks Mike!! David and Mike were very professional and great to work with! They did a complete remodel on my bathroom and when it was finished it was better than I could have envisioned. There was very good communication from the Contes. I knew every step of the way what was going on. They had great design ideas and top notch materials. The workmen who did the remodel were professional, friendly, and knew what they were doing! This was our first experience with remodeling and we are so please with the experience. We would recommend Conte Remodelers LLC to any one who wishes to have the job done right. We will use them again!

Conte Remodlers built a detached garage with workshop. They presented a very professional plan that was easy to understand, and it listed what they were installing, how much I owed and when. This contract put us at ease with the project. Throughout the process David helped navigate through rough spots when the plan hit a snag and worked hard to ensure we were satisfied with the end result. This satisfaction led to an additional project at the end of the first one. Their quality of work was excellent. I am very happy with the results and the extra mile they went. The only area I would ask be given attention is improved collaboration / coordination as the project proceeds to mitigate any confusion or misunderstanding as changes are presented throughout the life of the project. While the four stars may indicate "good," Conte Remodelers did "Excellent" work!
