Brandon came out and quoted me on carpet cleaning. He was very friendly and personable. He cleaned two of our high traffic rooms and did a great job. It smells really good too. Unfortunately, stains raised back to the top, which Brandon said could happen. They came back out to clean it a second time for free. Great business, would highly recommend.

I appreciated that he did things that I asked him to do. I don't mind paying extra for better attention. The "big" carpet cleaners seem to have a one-size for everyone formula, and also "that will be extra". Will definitely use again!

Carpet cleaning was GREAT and both cleaners were extremely friendly and helpful. That said, my 60+ Parenrs still felt the need to reclean the kitchen / bathrooms with a littleore elbow grease because everything's clean doesn't do the old fashioned scrubbing on habds and knees sort of thing.... But I was perfectly satisfied!

Doug has been cleaning our carpets for many years and has always done an exceptional job. I highly recommend this type of carpet cleaning. It cleans the carpet very well and the carpet stays clean. Other cleaners like Stanley Steamer need to be repeated every month or two because the stains keep coming back, but we can go 6 to 12 months between cleanings and our carpets look great. Doug and his staff are very professional and I always feel comfortable when they are in my home. They also do a great job moving furniture when needed and leave the house with the carpets vacuumed, so there is no residual mess. Doug and Vibrant Dry definitely deserve an outstanding rating.

I was thrilled with the quote that I was offered for cleaning, scotch guard, and Earth Pro's 'pet package.' Their quote was $100 less than the big company that is always advertising on TV and in the mail! David did an awesome job cleaning my house and my brother's house. He even provided a military discount for my brother, who is coming back to the states from being stationed in Guam. My house had not been cleaned in awhile but really needed it with two dogs and two cats in residence. David was kind enough to rearrange his schedule to come out on a Saturday when a funeral came up on the day of our scheduled cleaning. He was also incredibly professional when working with us. The end result was fabulous. My house smells and looks so clean and refreshed! My brother's house is just as fabulous! I appreciate all of Earth Pro's work and will look to them in the future for my carpet cleaning. I highly recommend them!

Billie arrived on time, was very friendly and did a good job giving my house the general cleaning it needed, making a special effort to get stains out of my counter top and cat hair out of it's various resting spots. I would recommend her to anyone and will call her again when I need assistance with my house cleaning. It is nice to have such a clean and nice smelling house again.

Cincinnati Dry Carpet Cleaning came to my home last week to clean my carpets. They were on time and finished in a timely matter. My carpets haven't looked this good since i had them installed a few years ago. I would highly recommend this company and will be using them for some of my rental properties in the near future.

Mr. Jennings was nothing but professional and extremely polite. He takes a lot of pride in his work. Mr. Jennings got stains out of my carpet that other companies had no luck removing. I would also like to say that his prices are well below other cleaners. Robert even took his own personal time and came back to my house on a National Holiday to touch up a small spot that was hard to see when the carpet was wet and didn't show until the carpet was dry.

Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

Who cleans area rugs?

Like your carpets, area rugs should ideally be cleaned at least once a year to remove dust and dirt and help them last longer. In general, carpet cleaning professionals also clean area rugs. Some rug cleaners bring their cleaning equipment to your home, while others remove your area rugs and clean them at their facilities. Either way, the rug should be cleaned with the solution most appropriate to its specific fabric and construction. It should also be completely dry before you return it to the floor.

How often should carpets be steam cleaned?

Dirty carpets can be unhealthy for the people living in the home, particularly those who have allergies, so it’s important to have them cleaned regularly; simply vacuuming once or twice a week isn’t enough. Carpet cleaning should be done by a professional carpet cleaning service at least once a year to remove grime and help extend the life of your carpet. Most carpet manufacturers recommend professional steam cleaning, which penetrates deep into the carpet fibers and lifts out both dirt and the pollutants that get tracked inside. Steam cleaning also removes most of the moisture, so carpets dry quickly enough for homeowners to resume using them the same day. Between professional carpet cleanings, your carpet may need an emergency spot cleaning. Pet accidents, food or drink spills, and more can often be effectively cleaned with some water and a drop of white vinegar, although many cleaners will also make house calls for smaller spills and hard-to-clean spots like wine or grease stains.

How much does it cost to clean a rug?

Area rugs are typically found in high-traffic areas of the home, like hallways and entryways, so they collect more dirt and stains than simple vacuuming can handle. Similar to carpet cleaning, professionals can come to your home to deep-clean your area rugs. The national average cost for rug cleaning ranges from $80 to $120, but may be higher or lower depending on the rug’s size and fiber type. Rug cleaners generally charge by the square foot; for example, a standard 8-foot by 10-foot rug costs an average of $100 to clean. Natural fiber rugs, such as wool or silk, are usually more expensive to have cleaned than synthetic rugs. A carpeting cleaning company may charge on average $1.50 per square foot to clean a synthetic rug, $2 per square foot for a wool rug, and $3 per square foot for a silk rug. Some delicate rugs need to be washed by hand, which increases the price. Carpet cleaning companies often offer additional services, such as removing odors or applying moth deterrent, which can add 20 cents to 25 cents per square foot.

How much does it cost to clean a carpet?

Carpet cleaning costs vary depending on the type of cleaning, such as steam cleaning, and whether there are any stains that require special treatment. The main cost factors are the square footage of the carpet and the material it’s made from. The national average carpet cleaning price ranges from $100 to $130 for a typical suburban home, but steam cleaning prices start at an average of $120. In general, professional carpet cleaning ranges from an average of 20 cents to 50 cents per square foot, depending on where you live. Many companies have a minimum fee or room requirement — such as two rooms for an average of $40 each — and will charge more to clean carpeted stairs or a second floor. Finally, the carpet fiber type, density and pile will also affect the cost of cleaning; man-made fibers are stain-resistant and easier to clean, while wool carpeting is sensitive to water and requires more care.

What does carpet cleaning cost?

National average carpet cleaning prices range between $100 and $130. Carpet cleaning prices depend on how many square feet of carpet you want cleaned, how many rooms in one house or building will be cleaned, how stained your carpet is, how much the carpet cleaning company charges, your ZIP code, and the type of carpet you have. Cost per square foot can range from 20 cents to $1 or more, based on the above variables. Synthetic carpets are typically the least expensive to clean; natural fibers like wool cost more, as they require more care and attention, as well as more drying time. Excessive stains, challenging locations such as stairs, and accessibility also factor into your carpet cleaning price. Companies may charge a minimum service fee for cleaning a small carpet to cover their business expenses (paying employees, transporting the special equipment to your home). If your pet has repeatedly saturated the carpet with urine or if the fibers are extremely matted down, it may make more sense to completely replace your carpet than to continue to have it cleaned.
