FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge by the hour for time spent shooting with clients. I know some special circumstances warrant price changes and negotiation. I am willing to work with anyone to make sure you get the portraits you deserve. For information on pricing and my studio, visit my website under ABOUT: Rates and Studio
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I typically play it all as it happens. I am not formal with a shot list. Customers can suggest styles or specific shot they like. Once you arrive, we'll look at what clothing you brought, I will decide what backdrops or props we should bring in, or we will go to one of the many nearby locations. If I'm coming to you, I do research ahead to find the right spot for your portraits. I can also bring a portable backdrop and lights if needed. You change into outfit #1 and away we go. It takes about 20 minutes for us to find our groove. Then we go through the outfits and locations until you or I am satisfied with the shots, or our time is up. You depart and I go to work editing the photos. I typically finish up edits the same day/night, and at the latest the end of the week. I upload the photos to my website. Depending on your request, they will be public for you to share, or private password protected for you to view. You can choose which photos to order at-cost, or pay a fee to digitally download all of the shots. This can be decided after you see the finished photos.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been staging photographs since I was four years old. I have been working professionally in photography since 2011. I have won awards, been selected for competitive photography publications, and have had my own one-woman photography exhibit.
