About this pro
Because my work is based on my many years of experience in the legal, medical and professional fields of the workforce. I see the need for accuracy, detail, and a step above the rest work when a client is trying to get ahead, of which I provide! I love my work. I have done it all of my life so far, and now I get to do a variety of each job did on a daily basis, not, but the satisfaction of knowing my client got the job done on time or ahead of time, and it turned out fantastic, is the real value of my work! It just makes me want to do more and more.
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? There is no complicated pricing system for my services. I usually charge by the page, no matter what it entails. And if it is legal or medical transcription, depending on the software being used, audio or tape, I charge about 0.063 for a 65 character line, and if it expedited, 0.075 per line (turnaround - same day). That works about to about $1.50 per page, after any corrections, if any, have to be made, or $1.81 (0.075 for a 65 character line for medical transcription - it is a little harder, and if expedited, I don't charge any more of a fee for the medical. Sometimes, as I said, depending on the software (audio files) being used I will go by word count, whichactually comes out to the same exact amounts. If it is a PowerPoint presentation, I will just charge by the page, at (depending on the formatting and how much content and images are being used, usually ranges from $1.50-2.00/pg.- handouts, notes, or anything else the client wants thrown in tnere. Resumes are charged the same way, sometimes a little more if the formatting takes a lot longer, but not normally The rates are pretty similar most of the time, as $1.82-2.00 per page is the highest I have ever charged. - just depends on what it is the client wants.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?Yes, definitely! I take classes in al types of fields to keep up with the different software, especially,in transcribing software, but I also take courses in Business Math for Excel projects, so I know the formulas back and forth, and ALWAYS in English. I am in the Honors Program for English at a local community college. I want to keep up with accuracy, efficiency, and detail when doing other's work.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?I have done it all of my life and love it. Now, I can reach and work with so many more individuals than in just working through one office, I was always multi-tasked, and could handle a huge amount of work in an office, and now I still handle a huge amount of work, but it is such a variety of things to do, and everyone has their own way and style of what they want - I love seeing and learning it all!
