FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am an avid researcher and student- always will be. I continue academic classes, study with other expert professionals and attend conferences on a regular basis. If you are a horse person you understand it is not just a job, it is a life passion!
- What types of customers have you worked with?
1)Evaluation of equine soundness/health/temperament in its relation to goals of person. That could be wellness or training goals. 2)Making realistic, strategically training goals for owner or horse, beginner through advanced, "backyard horses" to high competitive levels. 3) Educating and supporting riders on this journey
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
Recently an owner came to me with a horse that she had a frightening experience with and had not done much with her for a year. She was unsure about the horse's training experience. The owner and I discussed what I would do at the evaluation I went to evaluate the horse and owner and was pleased to find that there was a reason for the horse's nervous behavior that we easily resolved. Instructed the owner and gave some examples and quickly began to restore the woman's confidence. MOST IMPORTANT: we had a much more relaxed and thus safer horse at the end of the appt.! :)
