She listened to my ideas, but also reined in my tendency to include more personal content, and other tangential copy that doesn't point to getting a job. I thought all that stuff would be appealing to an employer, but Rachel showed me what is expected in an effective professional resume. Concise, too (I tend to be a storyteller!) And how to be appealing-from the employer's point of view. This is about THEIR needs. Those anecdotal bits can come when I am called into the job interview. Maybe.
