He knows what he’s doing and really enjoys what he does. Great guy to talk to and communicate with. Have used for several projects around the house.Jun 11, 2020
Jim’s work is fantastic. He helped with multiple phases of a large restoration project. His professionalism and the value for high quality work is second to none. Highly recommended!Jun 29, 2020
Jim was at our house on time as expected every day and finished the job quickly and with attention to detail. After months of not being able to find anyone that could replace our skylights (and the only ones that did way over charged) we were so grateful to find him. The new skylights look awesome and it's nice to have peace of mind that we won't have leaky skylights anymore.Jun 29, 2020
Gillespie Construction did an amazing job on my home improvements. I had my siding and roof replaced. I also had tile installed in my laundry room and luxury vinyl flooring in my dining room. He is a great guy and does fantastic work!Jun 11, 2020
Gillespie Construction removed carpet, resurfaced our stairs, replaced all woodwork along with making a new handrail for the stairs. They were flexible and very professional. What I like best was the input and assistance with deciding on how we wanted the final product. They were honest and provided so much guidance! We are so happy with our new living room and stairs!!Jun 20, 2020
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?i Always examine the project as best possible and determine the overall cost. I also have set hourly wages per man if the client wants to hire us for smaller projects or partial projects. A minimum hourly amount of 24 hours required.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?First thing is to conduct an questionnaire to gain insight on the home owner and spaces to be remodeled. Next, I listen to all feedback regarding the project and reflect design ideas and options back and forth. Finally, I take all insights and create an estimate to handover to the client. A deposit is required to start the job and scheduling will be achieved once the deposit is confirmed.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I started my passion in the industry at an early age and attended Polaris career center during my jr and sr years of high school. From there I showed complete respect to the seasoned pros that did framing, tile, Etc... in my field and became fluent with all hand/power tools. I’ve always stayed up to date on building sciences and newer installation or best practice methods. I lean towards solution based estimating and offer insight and installation to completely transform the home into a place that someone can call their own.
