- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I offer individual services for hard copy resumes and one for online such as LinkedIn. There is a service package that includes both at a discounted rate so you get more for your money. I do this with other services such as E-mail copy or script ads.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a member of American Writers and Artists Inc., as such I take time to go over what I already do know as a refresher as well as learn new material as time moves on from some of the top copywriters in the field such as Clayton Makepeace, Josh Boshwell, Bob Bly, and more.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
It happened while at NASA when I contacted the interns and co-ops to review their resumes as a consultant. I wasn't sure how popular the service would be, but it generated a large number of responses. After their internship there was over, some that I was able to reach mentioned getting new jobs thanks to their improved resumes. Since then, I've adapted resume writing into one of my services.
