Michael Boc did an amazing job turning my gutted house into an attractive, livable space. Everything in the house needed repairs, and he was more than capable of the renovations, including new drywall, wall insulation, flooring, outdoor siding, and a beautiful bathroom remodel. He's not only very skilled, but has a great eye and pays attention to detail. Michael really went above and beyond on the many projects involved in fixing this house. He was always kind and lovely to work with - I'll be calling him again, and would absolutely recommend him to anyone.
Rod was chosen from five bidders, all of whom were close in their estimates. Unlike the others, he initially mentioned renovation options ( both interior and exterior ) that had not been considered in the planning. No one else "thought outside the box". This was a complete renovation of a house to prepare it for sale: new flooring throughout, new padding and carpeting throughout, much repair work of damaged wood and walls, a wood-burning fireplace rehab; installation of new vanities, sinks, mirrors, med. cabinets and accessories, 5 new ceiling fans, power washing, painting shutters and repair and painting of storage shed, caulking around foundation, installation of all new interior and exterior doors. You can see that the job was all-encompassing and Rod was up to the task and did some unique repairs along the way. The only two detours included four dead electrical outlets that still need to be repaired by an electrician and the time frame ran more than 3 and 1/2 months. If you are willing to be patient, Rod will do a bang-up job for you. He would text pictures of items for my approval before he would make a purchase. He provided me with a receipt for everything that was required for the job. This was an $11,000+ investment, but the new owner is not going to have any headaches once they move in. I hope to hire Rod again for work at my own residence and would comfortably make a referral to anyone in need of his services.
Mr.Tim and his team from AAA renovations, did a great job of painting, polishing wood floors, installation of locks as well as the installation of chandeliers. They are very efficient and completed all the jobs within a reasonable budget. Also, completed everything within a very short time. Anyone looking efficient, fast and reasonable work to be done, call AAA.Would highly recommend! Thank you Tim & team!
We had a small job to repair siding and flashing and replace some wood. Overall, very happy with Biltmore and would recommend them.
House previously had aluminum siding and wanted vinyl with a seemless look which involved using 20 foot panels. Randy puts in a lot of care and is particular with his work. No cut corners and no shortcuts. House came out amazing and looks brand new
Anthony came out and did a wonderful job on our laminate flooring. He was polite and courteous, had friendly staff, and was very flexible in working with our schedule. He is also very skilled with plumbing and electrical issues and became a one stop shop for us to tackle several projects in our newly purchased but older home. We still have several projects to do and will be using Anthony again.
This is going to be long, prepare yourself Ill try and keep the history short: 1) Move into the house after remediation was supposed to have taken care of: a. Mold in the attic b. Clogged soffits c. Bathroom vent being vented directly into the attic Fast forward 6.5 years: 1) We have water getting into our bedroom and I crawl into the attic to find the source (the vent stack 2) I notice that the ceiling is rather black and suspect the either the mold has returned or the original company didnt do such a good job of removing the mold previously 3) I fix the leaking vent pipe myself but I call out a roofer to get their opinion of the situation in the attic 4) He agrees we have poor ventilation and need to remediate the mold and we discuss various items on a hit list of things to fix I begin researching and learn a lot more than I ever expected about attics, mold and proper ventilation. We decide that the obvious first step is remediation and then fixing the smaller (and bigger) jobs. My wife does a quick search for our city and mold removal. I am expecting to call several places and have several visits (I like doing at least three) with several quotes/estimates following. I make my first call at around 7pm in the evening and I speak with Ed at ABC Mold Removal. Its immediately apparent that Ed knows his stuff and their business. After I hang up with him not only do I have a verified handle on the research Ive been doing myself I have an estimate in my email well below what I was expecting to hear, a complete rundown of what will happen when they come to our home, an even better idea of the various items I need to fix/update to KEEP the mold from coming BACK as well as two of the items off my list included in the estimate namely: 1) pulling back the blown in insulation from clogging my soffits which was, obviously, never done when we moved in and 2) correctly venting the bathroom vent to the outside and not just up to the ridge vent. He also recommends I look into updating the ridge vent we do have as these have been updated and improved dramatically since the one we have was installed. I like the quote and agree with all that needs done and I call him back later and schedule a date. He says he can be out within about 3 days which actually was too soon for us and we moved that out about 7 days (on a Saturday). Fast forward once again to the day of the job: 1) They arrive on time. They stated between 7:30am and 8:00am and they arrive a few minutes before 8am. a. At this point, I have to mention two things that struck me: 1) they greet me professionally and call my Mr. Strauss even though weve already exchanged first names. This continues throughout the day and 2) they remove their shoes. No prompting, no booties, no asking if they should they just did it. All day long, in and out to bring in equipment. Some people might be saying, well, they should. I would tend to agree if it werent for the fact that Ive had work done on my house previously cable, front door, basement heater, etc. None of them just came in and removed their shoes. None. 2) Their setup takes about an hour and half and includes putting plastic down in the room where the access hatch is (our daughters closet), plastic down the hallway they have to come in and out of and a triple plastic barrier at the entrance into the room. They also close up the whole house fan and then, at long last, look into the attic to see what its like. a. I was leery up to this point that they had yet to ever set eyes on my attic and the condition it was in. But they knew their stuff and came completely prepared for anything. They said it didnt look bad and estimated that theyd be out by 1 or 2 in the afternoon. (spoiler: they were leaving my drive at 2:30pm after cleaning up completely and having a small chat with me and, of course, getting paid). In speaking with Ed later, during our chat, he told me that ABC Mold Removal has been doing this kind of work for thirteen (13) years and theres a reason for that: they do a fantastic job! The black, stained attic looked like new wood. The soffits? I could see daylight through them when I went up. The bathroom fan? Vented completely to the outside. Steve the second person on the job did this work even though it was fairly cold out and there was some snow on the roof too. Did I mention Steve comes from a family of 5 roofers? Did I mention that Ed came prepared for anything? The only thing we have left to do is to weatherproof any heat exchange points into the attic from the house and to install a new ridge vent (going with Eds suggestion of Shingle Vent II after watching a video online of how well it works). So, in a nutshell? Highly, highly, highly recommend Ed and ABC Mold Removal to anyone who has the unfortunate need for this service (which is probably more of us than we realize).
Aaron divided a room in half by building a wall that looked as though it was always there and belonged there--great job! He also did other jobs including putting up doors (sanded to make them fit), installing a shower, vanity and bathroom floor, installing laminate flooring as well as other construction work. The job was completed in an amazingly short time and Aaron was open to meet our schedule. We would definitely recommend his services. Aaron did not appear to be that found of the "paperwork" aspect but we were able to overlook that for a job well done.
Marc was referred by a friend of a friend and we couldn’t be happier about the experience and end product. He was responsible, responsive and stuck to his word. We interviewed 4 other companies and they all fell short on professionalism and follow through. The others only wanted to know when they could start. Marc took the time to listen, ask questions around our situation and found the right solutions. Product selection was simple, efficient and with zero pressure. They did a complete tear off and install with some minor wood repair all in one day! Finished product looks incredible. His team worked tirelessly, put up with our dogs and cleaned up after themselves. They took extra care to ensure nails and debris were removed and blew off the drive and deck. Cleaned the gutters out too! Highly recommend Samber Roofing. Great job Marc and thanks!
I contacted Garland Construction for a quote on several situations, one a leaky roof, electrical problems, and doing drywall repair. He resonded right away, came out on Super Bowl sunday, a very bad weather day, was prompt, courteous and reliable. I had called 3 other companies and even took the day off and no one came. I will have Garland Construction do all repairs. Thank you Lenore Smith A RELIABLE , HONEST, ON TIME COMPANY
I had a porch (stoop 4'x5') that had a concrete slab on it. The slab broke in half while I was installing a rear exterior door. I found Joel on this site. He is professional, courtesy and hard working. Joel gave me a quote over the phone. He came out the first day that it was not raining, within a week of first contact. Joel demoed the slab and built a composite deck in its place. He paid attention to every detail and did not skip any corners during the construction. All said and done, he rebuilt the porch, secured it correctly to the house and set the exterior door...all in ONE day. I will recommend Joel to my friends and family.
Towards the end of winter, we went into our barn/shed and noticed a large hole in the roof. This is a pretty large shed 18x24 with a loft so there was a lot of storage items in there. They came out and within a week of the quote they tore off and put on a new roof. They also repaired some damaged wood on the siding and also fixed some missing shingles on the house. It was all done within a day. There was no mess afterwards. A pretty pleasant experience all around and the price was fair as well.
When I first called Factory Windows Direct, LLC I had to leave a message, The call was returned within 20 minutes by Marc, who explained he was the owner of the company and would love the opportunity to work with us. I am in the residential rental business with numerous single family homes and apartment buildings. I have worked with other window companies in the past and have always felt as if I was nickeled and dimed at every turn. I honestly did not feel that way when I was speaking with Marc. I purchased 18 windows from Factory Windows Direct, LLC for a property in University Heights. I was told the windows would be ready for installation in approximately 2 weeks and once ready, I would receive a call to set a time and date for installation. My windows were installed within 3 weeks of ordering them, The installers were courteous and respectful of my property and cleaned up behind themselves. There were no hidden fees or any attempt to charge for additional unnecessary work or any of the games that other window companies have played in the past. In the end, I received exactly what I was told, in the time frame I was promised, with one exception, one of the old windows must have been leaking and rotted the wood under the window, The installer called me over to show me the damage and told me he would replace the rotted wood at no charge. I was extremely satisfied with and would recommend them highly.
The sales service and professionalism that I experienced was outstanding. They delivered what they promised. Thanks, Ohio Restoration Group
